I know this thread is really old, but I past my mod2 (restricted) last october, and bought me a 33bhp fazer fzs, 3 days ago. I typed into google and found here, so I'm gonna bump my gums anyway. I past my test on a dt125x (which i really enjoyed, and liked dt's since owning one as a kid) but now I traded it in for the fazer. Its a 600cc 2002 model, been serviced regular, and barely a scratch! Yam dealer reckons its probably one of the best type bike he's ever restricted, the power remains smooth and no flat spots in acceleration etc. (restriction is washers placed behind carbs) All I can say is that I now look back on my old 125 purely with fondness, and with absolutely no regret in parting with it, Cos truth is.. The fazer is freakin awesome!! My first rung on the big bike ladder an I'm chuffed to bits! I'ts not too light at 200 or so kilos, Yet it doesnt feel a bit lumpy to ride. Goes like sh*t off a shovel and tops at 90'ish. (reaches 70 in no time) This bike is a good allrounder.. you can stick you're head down an be a racer or just keep in upright cruisin position an look at the mountains an stuff.. I love this bike!
