  1. alright GOT HER GOING!!!!!!!!! i tried everything but one thing. I put some fuel into the spark plug whole and kicked it. Started right up!!! Did that about 3 times and now runs pretty good!!!!! Kinda hesitant when starting in first but then takes of like a rocket thanks guys
  2. Hey everyone!!! I need to know if someone on here can help me before i spend lots of money on something i dont need too!! Ok i bought this bike about 3 months ago! Its a 1992 yamaha yz250, when i purchased it she started 2 kicks and i took it for a ride! It would not hit the power band it would bog down when i got to the point of action! He told me it would need a set of reeds and thats why it was doing that! So i bought the bike brought it home and it started for the next 3 days in a row. I left it for a week and then it was hard to get started and now its 2 months later and it wont go at all. I have changed the reeds, air filter, spark plug, cleaned the jets on the carb, changed the gas!!!! Still NOTHING!!!!! It has spark, it has compression i think it was 120 with the throttle opened up... I have even sprayed some quick start in the airbox but still no luck! Can someone please tell me how to get this going I have had it for a few months now and havnt rode it!!! thanks everyone in advance sean
  3. hey thanks for the reply!!!! i have rotated the clutch basket and it will slip into gear eventually but i cant feel any clicking in the foot pedal. When i turn the drum when the case was open it slides and lifts all the gears sometimes though it gets stuck. could i have possibly put one of the lift fingures the wrong way on the shift drum? I dont have a pic of the selector
  4. hey everyone!!! I am in the middle of installing a transmission into my rt180, tonight i installed it and all the gears meshed properly the lifters are in the right spot in between gears. But when i put my case together and installed the clutch and all the outer gears i cannot shift through the gears... It spins but i cannot get it to click into gear with the shifter.... Does anyone know the problem. I dont wanna pull the case apart again. Can it be something with the shift drum and the stopper arms? if someone has had this problem before could u please give me some insight on what it could be? thanks in advance sean
  5. hey everyone!!! thanks for the replies!!! seems to be a lot of caution! I dont wanna wreck the crankshaft or the crankcase, so im going to shop around a bit before getting a puller tool... Can any of u help me though im not sure of what puller i need i was looking at the tusk website, they have a puller installer and not sure if that is the one i need to use... Are all threads on the end of the cranks the same?
  6. hey everyone!!! just need a little advice on something.... Im in the middle of rebuilding the bottem end on one of my bikes. Its a RT180 im currently putting it back together and am at a stand still here.. I need to press the crank shaft into the crank case but dont have a puller installer tool for the the job... Was wondering if i put the crankcase in the oven and put the crank and bearing in the freezer for a little while then install it.... Has anyone had any problems with this? and would it work? please get back to me i would like to get it installed soon!!! thanks everyone
