whatever you do, don,t change the bike or cancel the policy because their charges are very high. also watch out when it comes up for renewal. check out the thread on bennetts and you will know why.http://www.yamahaclub.com/forums/Bennetts-Insshame-on-them-t6709.html
  4. make sure you ask them to remove your card details from their records or else they might renew the policy when the original renewal comes up. i had cancelled my policy but they still renewed. bennetts is just another name for BISL , dial direct are same company. my wife is insured with dial direct and yesterday i faxed them to have her card details removed from their records. clever buggers!
  5. last year i had my bike insured through bennetts. when i applied for it, i opted out of automatic renewal. but 4 weeks before renewal, they wrote to me saying that they will automatically renew the policy unless i phoned them. so i phoned them not to renew. i arranged ins elsewhere ( this was end of april ). guess what? i also received a policy from bennetts and they had charged my credit card £192. i phoned them straight away and they admitted their mistake and cancelled the policy. i returned all the documents by recorded delivery. i also received confirmation letter saying that they will refund the money to my card. since then i have phoned them about 6 times on national rate phone number and they have still not refunded the money. i contacted my card company yesterday and they are going to sort out the problem. SO BE WARNED. BENNETTS ARE FAST AT TAKING THE MONEY BUT S**T WHEN IT COMES TO PAY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.....................................................THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS CRAP
  6. i have got an ABS 06 model. i am very pleased with it. the only thing i don't like is the indicator repeater ( warning ) light. it is too small. nice bike to ride. i do 40 miles a day and thoroughly enjoy every one of them. saying that, i would go for S2 !
  7. i have a 2006 fazer with abs and it is a brilliant bike to ride. i do motorway riding everyday and find it very responsive. it is very economical and quite cheap to insure but then i am 50. before the fazer, i had a bandit. found it to heavy. i dropped it once and found it too heavy to lift so the very next day i swapped it for fazer... the best thing i did. this is my opinion. you better ride a few different bikes and make your own mind. hornets are meant to be very good bikes too.
  8. sorry to bother you.... but how and what exactly do you take apart..
  9. i aam glad it worked. also try adding STP. that might help it work 100%.
  10. let me know how you get on.
  11. i used to suffer from it with my dragstar. mate suggested using higher octane fuel so i started using super unleaded. the problem never came back. it was cured! try it and i hope it works for you.
  12. i just fitted the latest oxford heated grips. paid £35 for them and they are definately value for money.
  13. If you paid by credit card i am sure you can claim against them. I would try them.
  14. after getting no response, i decided to fit Oxford Hot Grips. very easy to fit. took just over an hour. it is a good product but the swith is not fantastic. it could be better. but price wise it was good value for money,
  15. i have a 2006 fazer 600 abs and wish to fit heaters on the handlebars. what is the best make to fit. all suggestions appreciated.
