  1. Well, it's a long time ago i went on this forums! I got my TZR50 a long time ago, almost a year now. A lot has happened in that time, currently i'm running the following setup. Doppler 50CC High Pressure Cilinder+Head Doppler Crankshaft Dellorto 17,5mm Carburetor Bidalot racing exhaust. With my current setup i can get to a maximum speed of about 100km/h, that's about 60mp/h. That's not really quick, but considering that, with my drivers license, i'm only allowed to do 45km/h(!) it's quite nice! Well, here are some pictures of it! Temporary streetfighter mode, whilst repairing some cracks in the fairings that were already there when i bought the bike. This is the current state, except i have rearviewmirrors now! I lowered the front with 4 centimeters and also polished the fuel cap, front forks, the spoiler (sort off) on the rear and the exhaust I hope you like it!
  2. Thanks, no i'm actually 16, but it's late. Thanks for all the info! i'm taking the dad of a friend of mine with me. He has loads of experience! He spends his spare time building bikes that he bought in crates! he restaured several old MV Augusta's and Kawasaki's. The mileage of the bike is 17000km. a bit over 10000 miles. He replaced the piston ring a year ago. I already drove a TZR50 that was almost new. Only 1 thing that was weird. The gearbox would flip itself out of gear sometimes. But i've heard that's a common problem with TZR's. I myself found it more satisfying to ride than the V-max 1200 of a friend of mine. That thing is just scary as hell to drive! I'll let you guys know when i've made a little test drive. Greetings Bas
  3. Hi guys, I'm Bas from the Netherlands, i'm not currently owning a Yamaha. But i'm hoping to get myself a 2005 TZR50 next week. I do own a bike, a 1982 Puch maxi. English isn't my first language (dutch is obviously) so if you catch any grammar or spelling mistakes, just say so and i'll try to improve my Enlish! I may not own a Yamaha but i do own a 1990 Mazda 323F. In the UK better known as a Mazda Astina. It's up for sale currently because it is, engine wise, a total mess. It was that way when i've bought it. and i've been tearing the poor thing down even more. Racing with no coolant or oil in the engine (because it was leaking everywhere!) But when I will have my TZR50 i'll treat it as my little baby! Greetings Bas!
  4. Hi guys, I'm Bas from the Netherlands. I'm 16 years old. And I used to drive on a 1982 Puch maxi. With that thing broken down. I've been looking for a Yamaha TZR50. I found one in the neighbourhood. It's a 2005 model. With a bit of scratches on 1 side. But that doesn't really bother me. I know i'm new here. But once I've bought a TZR i will become active here, and post regular updates of my TZR. So it's not that I need help, and be off after i've been helped. My question is, if i'm going to see that TZR, what should I look for. Are there common issues or stuff like that that I have to know, and make sure it's allright one the one i'm looking after to buy? I'm going for a testdrive this sunday. Anyone got some tips for me what i should focus on? Greetings, Bas
