Im one the verge off buying aload of ttr performance parts
Digitally reprogrammable CDI
150cc BBR Bore Kit
Hot Cams (comes with bore kit)
Has anyone out there attempted this ?
I know im better off getting a bigger bike and its waste of money
But that's not why im doing this
Its all in the name of fun
after trawling the internet for XT Big bore kits I found nothing
forums seem to suggest the TTR Kit but nothing to say it actually work
but after checking shit loads of photo and measurements
theres virtually no difference on the engines
this is more of a last check before I buy cus either way im trying
It would just be nice to know
I have changed Carb main Jet From 1.00 to 1.175
Changed the air box for RamAir air filters
and a straight through Exhaust

Can Do All Most Any Thing To An XT 125 R/X Including Mods And Most Service Parts On Single Japs

Best bet is to hunt down a haynes manual for it
saves alot of time and money

hello people i need some help
iv been looking to upgrade my CDI and iv come to an dead stop
but iv looked at the ttr 125 stage 3 digitally tunable CDI
and they have the same engine, spark lead and coil and same connecter
the wiring on the diagram displays a simmilar lay out but different colours
im more trial and error but when im spending £150 + i need a second opinion
Also if i remove the last cable (black-white) on the current CDI
by unpluging it from the other end (save damaging any thing)
it seems to take the resriction off the top revs does this seem to work for any one else

well well finally checked full system and nothing so
last check was the speedo unit its self
removed it from the bike
as soon as i fliped it over i noticed an deformation of the casing
(Not Good)
soon as i opend here up there was one big burn mark across the board
and one of the components litrally crumbled to ash
I couldnt help but piss myself laughin
gonna buy a second hand one for the time being
and replace the lot like grouch

just wondering does the old loom have to be
modified to fit it ?

a damn long strech of road

that aftermarket speedo looks like a good option
worth a try

Its a design fault which yam dealers will fix within warrenty
mines been rewired 3 times and the last time i rewired it,
it wasnt the wirin loom it was the back of the key ignition
the three contact plates were loose
due the springs behind them lossin compression
simple fix was to clean the contacts
and strech the springs by 4 - 5 mm
put back togethe in the right combo
and it all worked
iv got the same problem again
dose only the green head light square
and indicator green square work
good luck let us know if ya find the fault
turned out that wasnt the problem for me this time
checked the fuse battery and ground conections still nothing
giveing a full system check ove the next couple of day
can guarentee its a connection issue
let ya know if i can pin point the problem
give a proper solution with out spendin hundreds

best top end i ever got was 75 mph
that took some nice piece of road on a decline
but its had alot of tweeking
sound like a monster now

Like I Said Its for fun I love the xt's just want more poke out of the bike its self not a new one
Im Also on a 150 big bore Chinese And Planning on getting a bigger bike Very soon (KX 450f or Any Good 450f)
tbh I was after advice not to be knocked for trying somat different
Why's The Last Line Worrying
Not Bothered About Value theres no Fun Having a pocket lined with cash and being to scared to spend it
because 'it aint worth it'.
this attitude of just getting a bigger bike would have every one riding round on +1000 cc
And You Wouldn't Have The Weird And Wonderful Bikes That Are Out There
Some Positive imput would be apriciated Please
