  1. I just bought a 1974 DT 125. The guy I bought it from had taken it as a deal with three other bikes. He rebuilt the carb, the engine is in good shape, but decided to get rid of it because it wasn't worth his effort to rebuild the electrical system. The guy who had it before him had the engine running on a go-kart and put a home made flywheel/magneto generator on it. It came with the orginal starter/generator assembly, which I have cleaned up and put new brushes in. An auto electric shop tested the coil and told me it was good. They figured I should get it all on the bike and test the generator with a battery on it...they thought the wiring looked dubious. I want to test the original ignition now, but the home-made ignition made use of the governor assembly from the original (part # 444-81153-10-00) and the springs from it popped off the moving cams. 1) Any thoughts on how to get the springs back on? 2) The shop manual gives testing instructions based on lettered terminals. I can only find the terminal "E" marking. The other ones don't seem to be visible. I figure the wiring looks old enough that the colours are original, which are also listed in the manual with the terminals, so I could probably figure it out by the colours, but I would like to be certain. Can anyone with this type of generator tell me the terminal letters going clockwise from "E" (if that makes sense)?
