  1. Ok it seems sorted for now.........fingers crossed. The ?? clutch switch had a bad connection and got a new spark plug and its seems ok now......touchwood.
  2. Thanks, but where would I find that on the SR125.
  3. SR125 intermittent (Electric) starting problems. Sometimes it starts fine, then the next minute it wont start and wont even bump. Which means I cant go very far, cos I am scared of it conking out on me. Given contacts etc.... and good clean and spray. Any ideas, cos its driving me mental and I need the bike to practise ready for my test, which is real soon.
  4. Hi Folks, I cant get the seat off my sr125, and cant see anything in the haynes manual. I know it sounds silly....but can anyone help me. Thanks.
  5. I am aiming at doing my practical early september time. Good Luck for yours.
  6. I'm out of action at the moment..... desperately need a Right, Front brake caliper for the old SR125. Shame I was looking forward to making the most of the hot weather thats predicted for the weekend.
  7. Thanks for your welcomes.............. Did my theory test today, got 35/35 for the multiple choice (well chuffed) and 58 for the hazard perception. Not long to go before I get into the big bikes..... cant wait. Hi There fellow sr125'er...... I love my little bike, but my kids think its an embarressment and would rather see more on something sporty..... but the sr is just a temporary measure until I (hopefully, fingers crossed) complete my mission.
  8. Morning, Thanks for your reply. My OH took the switchgear apart and sprayed it yesterday but that didnt work. He's going to have another look at thins today. Will let you know the verdict.
  9. Hi, Just thought I would check in an say hello. I'm Julie and I am a Mum of 4, a midwife and general nurse, but dont work at the moment. I recently did my CBT and have a SR125. Hope to get around a 1000 miles in on the SR and then do my test. Only another 500 to go, which will take ages cos more often than not, my bike isnt working properly. Found your site, whilst searching for answers to my starter problems. Thanks. Juddie
  10. I have a SR125 on a 1994 plate. I am having intermittent starting problems and wondered if anyone could give me advice. I have a new battery, new clutch cable and new plug, but there doesnt seem to be enough power going through, to turn the starter motor. Its turning it, but not fast enough. Sometimes it starts fine, sometimes it wont. It can be running fine, then if I stall it or have to stop, it sometimes wont start again and has to be bumped. Tonight, a car pulled out on me, causing me to stall..... I couldnt start it and had to push it to a suitable place to bump it. Also, the kill switch will not move, I dont know if this is relevant or not. I am new to biking and not very mechanically minded, so any help or advice you could give me would be appreciated. Thanks.
