  2. :D

    Hello all!

I'm new here and about to take delivery of my new YZF-R125. I've got all my gear but i'm not happy with my helmet - a Caberg V2 407. It looks massive on my head, not helped my the fact i've got a very small body!

Anyone suggest a helmet that'll come down in size not only on fitment but size in general?

    Cheers.

  3. Sorry make that £1.22 up again this week

:o f**Kin hell wher are you buyin your petrol from? im goin tesco and its 1.05.9 and that is robing me. im glad im noy goin where your goin for yours pal

  4. I can't remember how many years ago it was but when the petrol tanker drivers went on strike it nearly brought the country to a standstill. There was panic everywhere at the petrol pumps.

Of all the strikes this country has had I think that has been the worst. I was even using my lawnmower petrol to top up the bike. What really sucks is when the strikers hurt the innocent public, Their problem has nothing to do with us but it is we that suffers!

Going back even longer, I was working the pumps in the seventies when petrol was rationed to £2.00 per customer. There were nearly fights at the pumps by customers demanding more petrol. On a lighter side a lady driver pulled in and after filling her with £2.00 worth of petrol she asked me to check her oil, I pulled her dipstick out, wiped it with my rag and noticed that the oil was low so jokenly said "you need a longer dipstick"

"Do you sell them?" she asked.

  5. Right... got my self a 400 fzr exup 1wg rsp... but... I cant find where the bloody valve connects to :S i took the exhaust of a 3tj which has the valve in etc, but i was looking around the bike and i dont think i can find one... if it doesnt have one for some reason shall i just jam the valve open? as its the only exhaust iv got left?

Let me know please asap =]

    Thank you

    Danny

i have got the same prob with mine pal just tie it open with some wire. it spluters round town at 3000 rpm but its ok. or you can pay to get it fixd n its about 45 pound for 1 cable and yo need 2 so that wil come to about 90 n its not worth it

  6. i dont know about all use bike riders owt ther but the price of petrol is startin to go wel over the top now and the worse thing is that no1 can do anyfin about it i mean wot is it u pay tax and insure and ur m.o.t but you cant go out on our bikes asmuch because on top on your tax and insure thers petrol that is over 106 a ltr. somethin or some 1 as got to get the price down to les than £1. ino plenty of bikers that say ther bikers and have half a bike at home in bits but thay sit in the pub all day ther the bikers that arnt boverd about price of petrol coz thay dont go out and spend ther money on petrol like me coz i love goin out on my bike no mater wot n thats why its startin to p me of about the price of petrol.

  7. how do leds. i have just got my gsxf 400 goin but i went down the road on it today for the 1st time and its dragin back on its self and just not goin the way it shud. i put on full revs and tryd to set of and it bangin from the head and i mean bangin but as i got it to set of and goin a lilbit it pickd up but then as i stopd it cut out on me. its like it woz runin out of petrol but it cant coz it has half a tank. if any1 as any idears them please let me know wot you think i can try. nice1

  8. From what i understand of the 400, its the best of the bunch. The 600 is pretty much a 400 with a big motor in it which is compromised by air filter volume and exhaust routing.

A 400 that is designed to work with something like the exup valve is going to ride like a lazy 2 stroke till it comes on cam, probably at something like 9-10 thousand rpm. The bike without the exup and a fubar'd exhaust is going to run rough as old bolts. But the harmonics of the engine with the RPM ceiling of ? 14/15thousand rpm will be all wrong with a 600 pipe.

Get the bike running like it is supposed to, with the exhaust patched up and the exup working and with the extra torque that you get the bike may feel a bit quicker but will be a lot better across the box.

kk will do. il c how she runs with the valve wrkin as it shud do. asoom as i get her all sortd il let uno how its runin.

  9. So all the delicate technology that has gone into that 400 which in the right hands will more than likely ace the 600 and possibly the 750 on the right track, you talk about precise head work which will involve some patient carb mods to really finess. And then ask if the EXUP valve makes any difference cos your cables are knackerd and you have just tied it open.

    Struth.

na my down pipes are a lil fkd so isted of getin 400 1s i 4t i mite awel get 600 1s if thay fitd n it mite giv me a lil bit more power. my valve woz fkd wen i bought n a jst tied it open n bint fink it wud mater but as i can c it dus.

  10. if youre doing work that serious, and your exup valve isnt working, maybe you'd be just as well getting stainless downpipes.

id imagine they'd be the most likely exhaust system to give you a bit more beans in the high revs.

personally id stick to the exup valve, bike doesnt run too well in the low revs without it. thats what its for, smooth power delivery.

im gonna get a new cable for my valve because it spluterin at 3000 rpm wile am ridein round town. nice1 cloudy il take your word for it pal

  11. Don't matter, even if they fit (which they probably don't) they won't give you any more power.

ok cheerz mate thats all i wanted to know realy. i myt aswel just gas flow the head on it then and see how it runs then. do uno wether the 400 exup runs any beter with the exup valve on because the cables av snapd and i av just tied the valve open on the exhauste
