  1. Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knows what size the screws are in the handlebar brake fluid reservoir? I had to drill mine out and need replacements. Cheers Warren
  2. Firstly thanks for reading. I have a 82 RS 125, I am just finishing off a total rebuild but I am having difficulties with the electrics. When the bike revs the lights get brighter till they blow, so I replaced the rectifier but this did not seem to help. I have checked the wiring and earth connections and all seems fine... Does anyone have an idea what is causing this? Cheers Warren
  3. I was wondering if anyone knows if a 1985 RD125LC Motor will fit a 1982 RS125 engine mountings? I cant see it being an issue because I believe the DT/RS/RD/RXS engine casings are all the same but not 100% sure. Cheers for your help in advance.
  4. I did think of that idea but unfortunately the DT is truely rotten and missing so much, clocks, ignition, all lights, wiring loom and rust had attacked the poor thing everywhere from just standing out-side up in the highlands. As much as I would love to restore I just think the cost will be more than I can handle at the minute (
  5. I have a an old 82 RS125 that is kicking about the garage, got 2 of these to restore 1 to its former glory but I was wondering what to do with the old girl? My mate has an old DT175MX kicking about, bike is rotten but engine seems to be in better nick, so was thinking if it possible to fit the 175 motor in the RS frame? Then somehow trying to route the 175 pipe through the frame... Or is there a straight through pipe for the 175? Obviously the downside of this is that the DT motor is not designed for long haul road use but surely with a change in sprocket settings and tweaking of the motor we should be able to squeeze more out the top end rev range. Let me know what you guys\girls think and if you have an experience with things like these in the past, any help and guidance will be helpful Cheers Warren
  6. Driving your bike on a daily basis will take the fun out of it, especially when its only a 125 Keep the bike for dry sunny weekend days where you can really have some fun. I believe a bike should be used to get away from things and have some fun rather than driving the daily grind to and from work. expect if you have an R1, that way you will look forward to your commute every day, those things are never boring
