  2. G'day from the land of AUS, Newbe for a few dayz now and am getting dessparate, my ozzy 31A model has worn out the bushes in the front forks ! Yamaha stopped makeing the bottom ones 12 years ago, but can supply the top one that fits in the alloy slider(shood fix 1/2 the problem A) Am trying to find the bottom ones that fit onto the bottom of the chrome staunchion, they are made of White Metal,& are Teflon coated, some engineers at work reckon they can be turned up on a lathe (duno about the teflon though !!) Or dose anyone know of a set of forks from some other bike that is a reasonably easy replacement for the XJ900 ? Starting to get a bit nervous not being able 2 ride. any help would B greatly appreciated , Thanks Guys & Girls MARK
  3. G'day everyone, I'm a bit of a newbee to the forum, but I have a serious problem with my forks on my 31A -xj900 ! The top & bottom bushes are completely flogged & yamaha here in Australia can only supply the top ones (go figure ) as this will only fix half of the problem ( ther is over 5mm of play in every direction at the bottom of the forks ) I was wondering if anyone knows where I might buy a full set of bushes or know of a set of forks that will fit so I can keep my orriginal tripple trees ? I realy don't want to change the look of the bike 2 mutch ( better brakes would B nice though !!) Any help here would B greatly recieved, It's my daily runner & It fits me so well now I donn't want to part with it !!!
