  1. OK I am at my wits end here. Something is draining my battery and I can figure out what it is. I bought the manual and downloaded the ELECTROSPORT Charging system fault finding flow chart and come up with nothing. I replaced the BATTERY and the STARTER RELAY thinking it was them but nothing. I have tested the Rectifier/Regulator and it seems to test fine however I am only getting about 13.4 volts at idle and about 13.9 volts at about 2500 rpms. Two things that are bothering me is 1. the charging voltage is up there but not quite what the specs say it should be but I don't want to buy a regulator though as I can't bring it back if it doesn't fix the problem ($80)and... 2. When I do the current draw test with my meter (FLUKE 77) I have a draw of about 1.8 milliamps when the connector coming from the gas tank is connected. Disconnect it and it drops to about.48 milliamps..then I disconnect the connector from the Starter Relay specifically the red wire coming from the R/R and it drops to zero. I have taken the top of the bike almost completely apart and checked every connector and wire I could get my hands on and still come up with nothing yes even the gas tank speedo and Odo. Does any one have any thoughts or ground chasing techniques I could use... or should I just swallow my pride and take it in and let the "professionals" deal with it. P.S I am getting tired of keeping an extra charged battery in my saddlebag.
