  1. Help needed..... iv been working on a cheap fighter project on my divvie whilst i take part in the current downturn on the jobs front (it hadn't turned over in 5yrs until a week and a half ago) and the current snag seems to be my new tail light i bought, well.... the light works fine but when i press the rear brake lever it cuts out and pressing the front lever results in no change i.e. it doesnt brighten, iv got a manual which iv stared at an awful lot and i can only see three wires that lead to the light, a yellow, blue and an earth so its not exactly complicated but its simplicity doesnt help as it keeps shorting when i wire it up as per the diagram and im starting to go mental and muttering incoherently to myself a lot in my shed . Anbody have any ideas???? I had thought that seeing as ive only got to hook up the brake lines and speedo to go for an mot, i might ask if they'd figure it out cos im stumped, but thats kinda like admitting defeat and i really want to finish it off myself.....any good ideas welcome, thanks.

Hey there ppl, im new in here, dont know why i never searched for this forum before but im glad i did, iv got an xj600 diversion which is currently about 95% finished, been doin some home made fighter parts to some success and its turned out to be more of a restoration project, iv had the bike for 5yrs and only benn on it for 6months due to being nabbed by the boys in blue 4.6 yrs ago in Edinburgh with no license, tax, mot, ins etc, bit silly but i paid a large expensive price for it and am in the process of savin for my test, bein a single dad that aint easy but i shall do it, bit long winded this intro but thats what ppl deprivation does to you, talk to myself for hours y'know,............... ANYWAY, hope to hear from people in here soon and make freinds etc, wil post pics of my bike tomorrow.
