  1. thankyou for your reply the steering lock is on the ignition what would i have to change or would i have to remove it so the bars can turn freely john
  2. hi there all i have a serious problem i went outside this morning and somebody has attempted to steal my bike i found it laying on the floor 100 meteres down the road with the little silver bit off the ignition where you put the key in missing and now my key wont even fit into start it when i turn the bike also it stops when i turn it to the left i think the steering lock is broken can anybody please tell me if they have an ignition bit for the bike or a steering lock ive been told 2007 and 2008 models fit but i cant find any anywhere also does anybody no if other ignitions fit my bike any help would be much apprecciated john
  3. no m8 i mean if i knock it into second i can move the bike in gear with the clutch out if the ignition is off when the ignition is on the rear wheel just locks up thats y my m8 thinks the piston is hitting the power valve when i turn the ignition on
  4. Just had the exuaust off and it looks like the top ring is pressed in my m8 reckons the piston is getting stuck when the power valve sets its self when u turn the ignition on explaining why the bike will move when the ignition is off and why it wont move with the ignition on jon
  5. hi there guys i went to start my bike today and all i get is a clickin noise comeing from the starter motor and the celenoid near the battery and when i press the electric start all the lights flash and the power valve resets its self it was workin fine all i have done is try to replace the coil with a racing 1 also one of my bolts snapped on the water pump so i had to re thread it could this be causeing it also the bike will bump if the ignition is off when its on the back wheel wont move like its siesed up any help would be apreciated jon
  6. hi there guys im haveing a problem with my ignition on my dtr 125r 2006 it was working fine then i took off the frame that holds the relays and the rectifier to respray it due to rust did that replaced all the relays and rectifier then i decided to respray the top yoke so i took the clocks off but couldnt undo the torx bolts that holds the barrel bracket on so i undid the little screws that hold the barrel caseing on leaveing me with a plastic bit with contacts on thats wired into the loom another little plastic bit thats keyed on one side and with copper contacts that are spring loaded on the other side and a plate with notchs in i think i have replaced all this correctly as it clicks from on to off like before but theres no power at all to the ignition can anybody help me out or suggest anything to try also if theres anywhere i could take my bike thats local to sheffield to get the wireing looked at please let me no thanks john russell
