  1. I will fit the boost bottle back to the bike if this is the case! The bike is still using it original (older) loom and CDI, and therefore has an earlier PV servo. Im not sure about which carb has been used, but i have removed it and cleaned it out. Apart from this 'minor' low end and 'cruising' problem everytings fine? Cheers, Mark.
  2. Hi guys, i have a 1995 DT125, with a 2003 engine. When i got the bike the PV was pegged open. I have since fitted a YPVS servo. The bike has a full DEP system, and i have trimmed the inlet rubber 'funnel'as shown on DT125.net. The bike pulls really well at higher revs, but seems to be gutless at low revs, i.e. upto approx 6k RPM. The servo appears to working correctly (does cleaning cycle and opens when revved) and i have set it using the guide on DT125.net. Also the bike doesn't like 'cruising' at a constant speed below the 6k RPM mark. The bike is ok all the time i am increasing speed but seems to cough and splutter along the road instead of staying at a constant RPM when the throttle is held at a certain point. The throttle is very all or nothing. I have removed and blanked off the 'boost bottle' on top of the inlet manifold, will this make it better/worse? Any help will be great Thanks, Mark
  3. Hi guys, I need to replace my coil as the wire is broken. Im not too sure on the year of my bike. I know its an earlier model ( i think pre '98) as it has the earlier CDI (8 wires? as opposed to 14?), also the YPVS servo has 3 wires, not 5 like the later type. The only markings on the coil are 2JN. My bike has the later engine (2003), the coil is definately the original so im assuming i should stick to an early one. Any help will be great Cheers, Mark
  4. All sorted!!! I managed to source an older type servo! I removed the whole PV, cleaned, re assembled and set up and it runs alot better! Can anyone tell me what the bike should now rev to, as it doesnt seem to get much past 9k? Mine has the 2002/03 engine (4BL- Code?), so am going to investigate inlet restrictions as described on DT125r.net, hopefully it should help free up some more powers! Cheers, Mark
  5. Hello again, After some research and talking to different people, i have worked out that my bike is running a later type engine (2002-03) with an early wiring loom (pre '97). I have managed to get hold of a servo system but am unable to plug this into my loom, as i require a later type CDI unit ( one with 2x 6 pin plugs and a 2 pin plug) as this has the YPVS control system built into it. Does anyone know if i can wire the newer type CDI into my loom or will i have to find a later model complete wiring loom? I have no reservations about cutting into mine to join them all up if it will work. Common sense tells me that if my old loom is running on a newer engine then upgrading to the later CDI should be possile??? Any help will be excellent as this 'can of worms' project goes on! Cheers, Mark
  6. After some research it appears i also need a Power valve control box which plugs in between the CDI and servo... Does anyone have one? Cheers Mark
  7. Hi guys I have purchased a servo ket for my 1999 DT125r. Upon inspection i cant find anywhere to plug the servo in? There is 1 spare connector but it only has 2 pins and the servos plug has 4 and a seperate single cable??? Any help will be great, but at a guess i reckon my loom must be different/older than the bike??? Alternatively if anyone knows how i can chop this into my loom to get it working i will do that Cheers, Mark
  8. Have i read this correctly? Are you saying the TZR YPVS servo setup will fit the DT? Wht can i expect if i leave my PV opened up with correct jetting etc? I know acceleration will be hindered due to less back pressure, but will it still be useable/ridable? Cheers, Mark
  9. Perhaps the rarity/price of the plastics explains my bike! It has at some point been stolen and recovered, and now has white plastics, yellow tank and frame and a grey seat??? Think i will keep the plastics white, spray the tank white, recover the seat, get some graphics and put up with a yellow frame until i can be bothered to strip and repaint it!!! YPVS servo setup will take prority!!! Strange how they are so rare?! Thanks for your advice, oh and will let you know if i find an '86 YPVS. Cheers, Mark
  10. So far so good mate!!! Welcome!
  11. Hi guys, Im new here and havent had much joy with the search function. Basically my DT125r is missing the servo cables and presumably also the PV servo. The PV is locked open at the moment. Does anyone know where i can get the equipment to connect up the PV properly? Also can anyone suggest the best shop/website to get plastics and sticker kits? sorry if this is a common question! Any help will be much appreciated. Cheers, Mark
  12. It should be good fun. Im used to pulling cars apart at home and heavy plant machinery at work, so the bike should be simple yet good fun!
