  1. hi tzr92, we had similar problems after i wanted to put the standard air box back on, if i were you i would put the needle back to the center position and put a size 112 to 116 main jet in and do a plug chop, if you need choke to make it run better you are running to weak and adjusting the needle is not the way to go, after taking my cone filter off i tried a size 92 main and i also needed choke to run it was way too weak with the standard air box:lol:
  2. hi paul thanks for the info, not sure how the tzr was unrestricted but goes great its just that i hate the noise of the s&b cone filter so ive bought a standard air box trouble is even with a 92 main jet it still seems to be running weak, with the cone filter it had a 100 main, i would like to know from others how these bike are de restricted and why im having so much trouble putting the standard air box back on

  9. help any one, ive put the standard air box back on with a size 92 main jet, the bike will not go with more than half throttle however if i pull the choke out then it does run better, this suggests to me that it is running weak ?? are there any restrictions in the air box i should know about, any one got any ideas please
  10. hi tzr92, thanks for the info , ive put the airbox back on and as expected it runs quite bad so i will have to take the carb off and change the main jet, can you recommend any where on the net to get main jets also my tail can has "hand made v6" written on it so the tail can is not standard, once again thanks for the help, i shall post updates as and when they happen
  11. hi tzr 92, what sort of speed are you getting with your set up , cheers
  12. hi, ive just aquired a 2004 tzr 50, the bike is unrestricted and hits an indicated 60 - 64mph, has any one got any technical details for this bike such as sizes of main jets etc, i want to put the standard air box back on as it has a cone filter, will the standard box kill it and what size jet might i need, cheers
