    Biker bars in preston lancs?

    the only peeps with bikes are those from work, are there any biker bars / pubs in preston with a friendly laid back atmosphere where I could go for a mingle?...

    sounds desperate - but i really dont know any bikers!...

    Does any1 know anyone local qho does a good job at a reasonable price?..

    I live in the Preston area, so somewhere within a 20 mile radius would be ideal.

    Any reccomendations?... (Need my tank repaired) - its dented, so needs to be filled and re-sprayed...

    Hi all, well this shocker on Ebay, has a returns policy and is of a yam dragstar classic... (Mine being the custom)

    Doing some digging around, it appears it will fit, can any of you experts give me a nice warm confirming nod?!?..

    I have asked for a quote from Hagon, and its 295 inc. VAT & delivery

    Is it worth getting the one from EBAY do you reckon?....

    I suppose in the meantime, I could get the opne off my bike rebuilt?..

    hmmm there is this guy who has a diversion at work.... heh heh heh!...

    Thays what 'Cynic' is saying, check it out on the Hagon site for yourself, 91 onwards 600 diversion. ;)

    OOOOaaaaaaahhh I'm almost orgasming.... (Sorry... Too much excitement!)

    Oldgit (not that you are or that I'm calling you one or anything) - but thats what your name is hmmm?!!?. :-)

    So what should I do?... used shocker... could be in the same situation in 6 months?.. or could I get a new divvy monoshock (divvy is a diversion is it?!?!)

    Please help me!...

    hmmmmmmmmmm... sorry, but please could you explain 600 divvy?... is that a diversion?.. (XJ?)

    so you reckon I could get a new diversion rear monoshock and it would fit the bill?...

    Basic jobbie's but yours would be somewhere between 99 and 180 quid. (You need to contact them for a quote)

    According to the Hagon website your bike shares its shock with the 91on 600 divvy.

    Hello all,

    Am after some advice / expertise...

    Gabby failed her MOT,

    Rear monoshock weeping, soon after, so was I...

    OEM part is like 500 smackaroonies....

    Any1 suggest where I can get a good replacement for a reasonable price?

    Hi Old Git,

    Nope, theres no Pri on the fuel cock, will take out the sparks and drizzle some oil...

    Have been told a few drops of petrol will help getting the first "bang?!?!"...

    Not checked, but what socket size for the sparks?.... Just saves me a few minutes - I hate the cold!...

    Starting my Gabby (XVS 650)

    Tried Starting Gabs on Saturday....

    Battery is fully charged (trickle charged using optimiser)

    Starter turns over perfectly fine...

    Fuel in tank,

    Fuel cock on RES (AS the level is a lil bit low, but way enough for 30 miles)

    When I put the ignition on, there is a puck puck puck noise, (Presumably the feul pump priming the system?)

    Tried starting her, but there is just no bang!...

    She has been in the garage and not been started for abt 2 months :-`

    I've been told I might just need to keep the starter spinning a bit longer

    (been giving it short 10 second bursts)

    Any tips?..

    PS On my lawnmower I tend to wizz out the spark and warm the spark side up and Larry fires up after half a yank!...

    Should I warm the sparks on Gab up as well?.....

    Just a bit cautious I dont damage anything inadvertantly by doing so....

    Any tips help would be more than welcome.. :-)

    Battery Cover panel

    Hi there,

    My battery cover panel is looking a bit worse for wear (looks like the exhaust heat is getting to it - bubbles in paintwork)

    There appears to be some sponge on the inside of the panel which is making it protrude more than what I would say is usual....

    Is this sponge OEM or has it been placed by some ruff bugger in the past?!?!..

    Any1 else have this problem?..

    Decal part numbers

    Hi there,

    I'm after some decals for my dragstar tank.

    Pics of my bike are here:

    the decals basically go under the lacqer.. can any1 help?..

    I went to the yamaha garage in Chorley they can order them, however they appear to be the emblem (3d silver one)...

    any help?!?!..
