  1. RD350 and TRX went for the tiger!! RD500 caught up in another universe!!!!! TZR gone.................. DT-1 gone.................. R1-Z goes Thursday,.........from eight to two in as many weeks........I got a car now though, lol :)

  2. Hi, Yeah I did the resto myself 3 years ago now. I kept the bike as original as I could (condition permitting)a lot of the polished parts i.e hubs had to be painted as they were too pitted for my liking. All original chrome was re-chromed and many nos parts purchsed, all fastners were replaced with stainless the whole resto was done to withstand our delightful climate so it can actualy be ridden, it required a very deep pocket but worth it, it does get ridden as well it's not just for looking at, fun times!! :hyper:

  3. I fitted pazzos to my MT, brake lever was an exact fit, had to use an FZ1000n clutch lever mount to get a clutch lever to fit as they don't make a straight swap for the MT-03,no probs with anything.

  6. Decided it's time to move on my dream flattracker project of 4+ years(going on far too long) as I just can't seem to get motivated(all projected out ) as much as I love my finished plan.

  7. I've had my 500 for a number of years now (bought when prices were 'normal') I have even toured Ireland on it and in constant downpours it never misses a beat from one year to the next and on just regular oil changes, other peoples tales of disaster and woe are sometimes best taken with a little pinch of salt. If we believed all we read and heard we would't even take a second glance at two strokes then that would be the disaster!! B)B)rd500002.jpg

  8. Right guys, lets get one thing straight. I appreciate all help when it comes sourcing information as i am serious about my taste in bikes. but i dont expect to be verbally abused (Mr Drewpy) just because i haven replied as of yet.Is this what your chat forum is all about or are you bored and looking to have a go.Once again thanks to all respectful people for the advice.

you'll be the one grinning from ear to ear once you've ridden an RD500 no one can spoil that....take it form one who knows B)B)
