hi all TZR 50 2002 my son ran out of oil on his way home from school (my fault never fixed the light) so i refilled with oil and the bike runs fine. bleed the oil pump and with the oil feed disconnected i can c a very small amount of oil coming from the oil feed pipe when i rev the engin but how do i no its working ok and getting enough oil i will say the first thing i did was dropped a cap full of oil in the fuel tank so i could run the bike and now i just dont no if the pump is working correctly is it a case of work or dont work ? and is it adjustable ?

my son has a tzr 50cc 2 stroke i want to change the gear box oil but dont have a manuel can i just use 10/40 engin oil what i use in my bike ?

ok had quick measure and ther is 10mm of static sag and around 15mm of rider sag so that needs sorting thers not alot to play with on thes bikes very basic so preload is all i can alter on the rear front well same again no adjust, i think its to soft can not bottom it out but the rebound is to quick so heaver oil i think or start from scratch and find the stranded oil and amount and work from ther so anyone now the original oil weight and amount for front forks on a 2002 tzr 50cc??????? can not find a manual anywhere oh btw tires are fine tread wise maybe a little hard will check tomorrow

hi i recently aquierd a 50cc for my son I've ridden it a few times rear suspension seems very hard dose the same rule apply to the sag and as off road bikes i no the tiers are very slim but it tramlines ie( follows every couture in the road ) tarmac joins and white lines it really moves spooks you a little so any ideas after the rear sus ???

just wondered if anyone out their can help followed my son on his tzr today and noticed how bad his rear light was in fact it hardly worked at all at low revs but gets brighter the higher the revs is this normal seems the front light is the same , not sure if these bikes use dynamo or generate/alternators ! any ideas ? cheers

hi looking for manual for 2002 tzr 50 but can only get info on 2003 want to do oil change in the gearbox and it says 10/30 now im in Portugal and things are hard to find so can i use 10/40 or 15/50 what do all the numbers mean if i use something to thick will the clutch drag ect . please can someone help clear this up for me cheers

hi all new to the Yamaha forum just grabbed a bargain for my son for crimbo a very clean tzr 50 2002 i live in Portugal and trying to find something that isn't mat black or chopped to bits is hard,anyway found the bike was very impressed how clean it was then haggled on a price agreed a price as long as test drive was ok well blow me away what a screamer over 10,000 rpms and by the time i hit top gear the speedo read 110kph hmmm something sus ther i remember my days on a dt 50 and with a slight tune it would do 45mph max . btw i am 40 years old and 14 stone anyway i payed the cash and dint tell the wife it was tuned turns out it has 80cc barrel kit and arrow exhaust ect now im thinking its to quick for a 16 year old first bike so how to slow it down cheaply and in a way that i can revers it in say 6 months when he can handle the thing ??? i was thinking smaller main jet or drop the needle height or both , any one got any other suggestions
