Hey all, havent posted in a while, hope Ttaskmaster is still dishingout the great info same for GOFF and old git, and theres some1 else jsut cant remember his name lol!! Just a quick question, when i am driving on my 125 dragstar it seems when i am in low gears at top end the engine seems like it is pulling back, hard to describe, its like the feeling you get when you run out of petrol, can any1 advise???? also when i am hitting speeds of about 40-50 i can hear a whistling sound coming from the engine....is this normal??? grateful for your comments. hey there, this is totally true unless ur a great mechanic leave it into the workshop, this isnt goign to be cheap for you, i was lucky- I bought a drag 125 and the previous owner had left it on the kicker so the bearings had seized up over time, i had a years warranty on mine so the shop i bought it in decided to replace the entire crank shaft costing THEM around £500+ to replace!!!! so now my baby is like brand new with only 1900 miles when i bought it!!!

i think it could well be a bit of both to be honest!!! haha!!! And if your talking about miss lewis doing the snow aptrol song then she didnt mutilate it !! its a brilliant version!! obviosuly not as good as the original as mr lightbody is from my home country!!! im a singer and i love all music so its not really crap telly talk its general chit chat!! it cant all be about bikes!!! Cool instrument to be playing i know a guy who plays in the John Hewitt bar in belfast....he plays the Ukulele and you can make some great sounds with that bad boy!!! there was a guy who sang somewhere over the rainbox mixed with what a wonderful world (LOUIS ARMSTRONG) and he played the UKU and it sounds great..in fact i have done a cover of it on You tube but the quality is shit!!!!

Yea she is a terrible singer she is trying to be new and unique...she is definitely that!! she sounds like a cat with a xmas tree up her bum!!!!! DAMN man that is bad luck!!! I was on the dual carriage way and it takes me a long time to get up to 50MPH on mine!!! not right?? Also when i start my bike up...it seems to be running high and i have to force the throttle forward to make it quiet down ?? could the throttle be set too high?????? PS I LVOE YOU GOFF haha!!!

you do make a good team!!! GOFF has great info all the time ...likewise Ttaskmaster ...had the drag out last night was reading through your tips and i realised im an idiot haha!!! I have been shifting up gears then giving it half throttle every time and not lettign it pick up the speed...so i have been throwing too much throttle on when shifting up!!! ...i got the bike up to 50 last ngiht which was good...i have realised my speedo lights are not working !!!!! im quite annoyed!!!!

This one is going out to taskmaster!!! how do i get the best performance from my dragstar 125......i.e shifting gears.....i think i might be shifting too early and thats why im not getting the best acceleration......im shifting into 2nd straight away then a few seconds later into 3rd...seems difficult to get past 4oMPH i know this is my fault... CHEERS MO CHARA

GOFF is totally right here, i have a 125 drag myself (2004) and i havent even hit 60 on mine.....it has good acceleration all the way up to about 30/40MPH then u gotta cruise it baby... in saying that i hit fifty on the dual carriageway.....plus if its windy ur gonna go a lot slower bcus its not streamlined!!! wait till the sunny weather comes (IF EVER) and u should hit fifty easy then cruise into the rest...... P.S i need task masters help ....he needs to tell me how to get the best acceleration and speed ....when shifting gears on my drag.....TASKMASTER come to the rescue

This may not be the most ideal idea...but for a temporary fix its been working for me and my buddy!!! ..... 2 hands free kits on ur phone.....slip the lead through the helmet and put the phone in ur inner jacket pocket...my mate hasunlimited calltime so he jsut phones me and we keep connected thwe whole way!!!! its works ...and its sony ericson phones...the sound and clarity even with the visors ur is suprisingly good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent advice there matey....well luckily i had a years warranty on my drag' so they are replacing the entire crankshaft free of charge!!!!! thank god! so it should run like a dream when i get her back??? Cant wait to get it back ...its been over a week!!! its going to be nearly two weeks before i get it back
