Long live the DT50

Man, if theres any electronics shops in your area, bring it to them and enquire about fixing it or MAKING a new one, the circuits not that difficult, and they can probably make a new one to fit.. May save you a lot of money

Hey, just one more day to go, eh Well, i hope you RIDE SAFE; theres nothing worse than trashing the bike after your first propper outing Also, Just make sure 100% that you remember all of the good bits from the highway code, as i know that some of it can just get skipped accidentally Also, don't think that just cause your saving money not buying the new model, that you should buy more stuff than necesarry, because thats what the shop wants you to do Either way, i reccomend Lazer helmets, they are very comfy and snug, but not obtrusive. Shoei is also VERY good, I had one of these when i was a young lad on the back of my dad's Z650

I can't see why it wouldn't, cause it's only one year difference.. Even if they don't then im sure you can 'mod' them to
-
Sorry to hear about your bike, man I hope you get the C*nts that did it > .. if they did it to mine, i'd shove their head where the sun doesn't shine... Hopefully the council will pay up for it, is there any signs that are along the lines of 'Vehicles left here are at the owners risk' or something?

Sounds like a blocked carb to me

Hey, good luck with the test! Make sure to not keep you hands on the breaks where un-nesicarry (I SOOO can't spell that) And make sure that you bring your OWN gear, where possible.. also, keep a cool head, and accept criticism, my instructor kept yelling at me and complaining that his nan, with no arms could go faster than me... just don't take it personally
-
Yeah, i thought its probably either a 12v or a bad flasher relay, i'll re-charge the battery, whilst checking all the bulbs Lucky i have 6 spare 6v's Thanks

As some of you may know, i have a DT50mx, 1984 But when I try to indicate, it takes like 2-3 seconds for it to actually START blinking, but when i swap it to the other side directly, its instant, as it should be.. Any thoughts? or is this normal? 'Cause its REALLY annoying =/

Hi, Welcome to the Yamaha Club
-
This is where I got mine from, http://quotes.thebikeinsurer.co.uk/quote/
-
i would eat that bike for dinner..

Back again, i'm defonately going to have the barrel re-bored, so that if I don't catch the problem (I will chech everything you mentioned) I have a backup for a little while.
-
£70 for everything. The longer I can't ride the bike, the more time I miss off of college; its just faster this way. I ordered the parts yesterday morning, and they are overnight delivery, so I might be back on the road by Monday Going to bed now, Goodnight; and Thanks a lot for the warm welcome + advice!
-
Hmmmm, i suppose Defeats the point of a cruiser for women
-
I've phoned all of the shops around my area, and theres nowhere that can re bore around here.. I'm just buying a new piston kit and barrel then.
-
I was going to, but there's nowhere around here that does re-boring.. So im just going to buy a whole new what's-it-called
-
I dont know anything about bikes unfortunately.. but the bores fucked too, so im buying a new one (don't know the name for it ) However. I love my DT Edit: Since I got the bike, its always had pretty bad compression, so it was probably the previous owner. Either way, I have ordered new bits
-
Haha, okay. I'll probably get a road bike as well though, so when im back from the army for holidays or whatever, i can cruise around
