  1. Hi guys When I get my broadband set up at home I'll post a pic of our wedding cakes..........they both had motorbikes on the top of them LOL!! We had a lovely day, didn't go on honeymoon, we're going to the GP in Valencia in October We went to Hein Gericke on Sunday...........I now have a new set of leathers to match my new boots..........I am now a Black & White Power Ranger Just need to pass my test! Got an Aprilia 125 to ride when I pass my CBT. It was a race bike so we need to get some lights for it and register it. Maria
  2. Arrh I see Oh and I know the Cromwell hotel, we went fo a drink there the other week. We went to Bike Pavillion in Letchworth on Bank Holiday Monday, I am now the proud owner of a pair of alpinestars boots....I will look like a Power Ranger soon LOL!!!! I have managed to convince my other half that we don't need a big party after our wedding and we are now going to Valencia to the GP
  3. Thanks I will go take a look ps> What's the NIDGE???
  4. Thanks guys I can't believe how fast the R1 is!!! It's great We are moving house this week and getting married in Sept so it's going to be fun trying to fit it all in! I read in a bike mag about the test changing and getting harder. Just my luck!! Not sure where I would have to go, I'll be living in Stevenage as from Friday? Oh and another thing, I never realised what a civil bunch bikers were......everyone nods or waves at us as we pass eachother.....it's so sweet Happy riding, Maria
  5. I did it!! I went on the back of my boyfriend's R1. It is great, all my fears were unwarranted. I really love going on the bike. We went all the way to Brands to see the Superbikes. I've been there before but never seen the bikes race. It was amazing. It was a desperate shame about Craig Jones, my sympathies to his friends and family. I think there is a very good chance that I will be applying to take my test in the not too distant future. I now understand what ALL the fuss is about LOL!!! Maria
  6. It is an arrestable offence, but I have never heard of anyone being arrested soley for that offence, it is usually something far more serious....like the bike being nicked in the 1st place. The number plate offence has a £30 fine and as you say is Non-Endorsable and comes from this piece of legislation: Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001. And not being too picky but it is Automatic Number Plate Reader
  7. Thanks Bob, Yes I will be riding pillion. Last time I went on a bike the guy decided to do a wheelie with me on the back!!! I was not impressed, I nearly fell off. Haven't been on a bike since. I think it's easier to ride a horse, even if they do have a mind of their own LOL!!! Probably won't be posting much, as I know nothing about bikes. But I will enjoy having a look through the site and learning something new. Best wishes and happy(safe) riding Maria
  8. Hi, Just joined the site. I had a look at it earlier today at work and you seem like a decent bunch My boyfriend has an R1 as well as several other bikes. He is mad on bikes, goes all over following the GP. I've finally agreed to go out on the R1 for the 1st time next week!!! I am so scared, but I want to do it. Just not sure how I'm going to hang on!! I thought I'd better join a club so that I can learn a bit about bikes......I have horses so if anyone needs advice on them...I'm your woman. Maria.
