as ive been hitting the trails quite regular now on my R reg dt125r ive noticed after going through some deep puddles/revers etc. water appears to have gotten into the gearbox oil somehow and the oil goes a white/transparent colour. can anyone suggest where it might be getting into the engine. ive had the sidecases of the engine and it doesnt seem able to get in from there. has anyone experienced/resolved this problem before? thank you rich

has anyone ever had this on their dt125?? mine is R reg so 1998?? ive recently started trail riding and ive been going with people on much more capable speeds so ive been going flat out on rough terrain on the dt to try and keep up. im guessing its all the bouncing around that has caused it but its the 2nd time its happed within a month. does anyone know how to cure the problem rich

recently baught my dt125. its a 1998 model R reg. ive been reading up on how to deristric the bike. ive taken the "collor" out of the front pipe and im stumped on the power valve bit. i found this site........http://www.dtr125.net/tuningf.htm when i took the side cover off my bike i found that the plastic piece thats suposed to be connected to the end of the power valve wasnt een there and i was given it in a plastic bag when i baught the bike. in the guide it tells you you need to rotate the power valve through 180 degres and make sure the plastic bit goes on exactly the same way it came off. obviously mine wasnt in place to start with so my question is how do i position the plastic thing inside the casing as i dont know what its possition was to start with??? should the power valve be open or closed when the bike is switched off looking up the exhaust port?? can anyone help me out here? rich

i passed mine about 3 days ago. it wasnt that hard really. i baughtthe cd-rom off ebay for about £3 deliverd and ust practiced on that. good luck
