  1. Hi Does anyone know which cast rear wheels from the XS range will fit an XS 650 SE to replace the stock 16 inch rear wheel with one of a larger diameter? Cheers in advance
  2. Hi Has anyone got any info on running an XS 650 on Amal carbs? I know that Mikuni's are quite common but was wondering if Amal MK 2's are likely to work? Mark
  3. Cheers guys, the English version of the German site is dead easy to use and has loads of useful stuff on it.
  4. Here you go Omars http://www.omarsdtr.com/streetmain.html So tempted to Flat track mine!!!
  5. Cheers, will have to brush up on my German, good selection of stuff there.
  6. Cheers, had a quick look and some useful stuff there.
  7. Cheers guys, its odd isn't it, you'd think with the number of 650's that have been imported into the country that it would be a little bit easier to source parts for them? We have got family in California that are coming over in October so I might just order from US suppliers and have it delivered to their place, then they can carry it all over on the plane. I mean they won't want to bring clothes and things with them will they?

    Hi

Thanks for the welcome, had a couple of 175 MX's when you could buy them new, great little bike and was on my short list for the new project.
  9. Hi As the title really, has anyone got any links to UK based spares suppliers? I am particularly looking for a nice after market exhaust that is in keeping with the bikes appearance and not to modern looking. Cheers in advance Mark

    Hi

Hi Thought I had better say hello. New to the forum and returning to biking after a bit of a break. This year will be the 30th anniversary of the year that I was first legally able to ride a bike on the queens highway, so to celebrate I thought it would be appropriate to return to the road on the same make of bike, from the same era, that got me on the road in the first place (what would we have done without Fizzy's?) The bike I have chosen to do a restoration on is a '79 XS 650 SE (really wanted a '78 but couldn't find a good complete one without paying daft money and the '79 one came along for the right money) Hopefully I will be able pick peoples brains on here when I no doubt become stumped with various issues and look forward to contributing to the forum. Mark
