  1. Hi, I would really like to know if someone might have a clue to what this little adjuster screw does...

    Its a 2003 R1

I adjusted this one day when I was after the idling adjuster... stupid I know!

Since I played with this my bike has never idled correctly when cold. So I assume it must be something to do with the cold start fuelling or something.

I attached the pictures so you can see which one I mean...

Is there any way to get the correct adjustment???

    Many thanks

  2. Thanks for the great replies!

I have to say that I am very impressed with the bullet cam. I am using a Sony HQ1 bullet cam with a HQR2 mini DVR which I bought from Dogcamsport. The quality is much better in the original MPEG2 format, but the file size is huge!

...I just wonder how many people were hoping to spot my PIN number...!

  3. Sorry about the video not showing, still can not enable the HTML script in my posts, but I thought I'll share this little gem with you. If the video don't show already,

  4. Hi, thanx for editing my post!

I was looking for the "HTML ON" in my post options, but I can only enable emotions and signitures! There's nothing about enabling HTML!

Would you mind having a look?

  5. I know what you are saying, but I commute every day into London, I am just trying to get as much of the grit etc. out of my bike, unfortunately the jet washer is my best bet to get into most of the nooks and crannies.

I really don't mind washing it myself too... in the summer just before a ride!

  6. Just took my keys coffee and cigs to the garage, started her up and the red light is gone!

Ran the bike for about 5 mins and the oil light stays off.

So I reccon it should be fine.

Thank you very much for all the replies, If the light had stayed on, I would have taken your advice and chanced it.

Off to work now, only 40 mins late now...

  7. Hi,

This morning I took my bike for a wash at my usual hand washer. He uses a jet washer as well, but he knows to be careful as the local bike mechanic taught him well...

Anyways, I have taken my bike there many times before, but today when I rode home, I noticed that my oil light is on and it is staying on.

Got home checked the oil level etc. All OK.

Now I've heard that this is only a low oil level indicator light and not a low oil pressure indicator, but I would just like to make sure.

I have to work tonight and I think it might just simply be that a bit of water made it's way to the wiring and that the light will go out once the bike had some time to stand and dry.

My question is this: If I get to my bike tonight and the light still stays on, the oil level is good etc... will it be OK to ride to work tonight?

I will get it checked out Monday morning if it is still on.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated... I'm off to bed now... will check in here when I wake up...

  8. One day on my way home from work, filtering through traffic, I found myself just in the right spot behind a drivers window to get greeted with the nastiest ball of spit you could possibly imagine!

I was just about to rip his mirror off (the thought just entered my mind at the time) when I noticed the look on the drivers face! I wished I could have taken a picture, let's just say that I had the laughing fits inside my lid.

Still... I do keep an eye out for the odd spit polish when I ride in London...
