Hi all, I have a 1976 RD 250 that I am trying to get back on the road. It’s all back together and I have managed to get the motor started. It doesn’t run great that is the problem. If I start the motor on just the left hand cylinder ( the carb with the choke on) the bike starts, runs an revs as it should. When I fire it up on the right hand cylinder it will only run if the choke is left on and it will not rev above 5000rpm the engine dies. Timing looks good, points look good and I have a strong spark. Any ideas anyone might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris

2010 YBR125 (fuel injected). I've read through the forums but haven't found the same problem as mine, so apologies if I have missed one. My speedo has been 'enthusiastic' since I've had the bike, but after riding another bike (MT07) I noticed how much it seems out by (indicated 30mph is probably more like 22-24mph), and also that the speedo needle is very slow to respond to deceleration. When I rolled to a stop at a roundabout, it was still on 20mph and looked as if it was stuck in treacle, winding down very slowly. I took it to the garage on the same ride and they kindly had a look at the cable and hub and said that both looked fine, but it would be worth having a …

Hi all, 2009 YBR 125 fuel injection. been having some issues, firstly my bike wouldn't start in the heat so changed the fuel pump and now she starts in 35 degrees in the sunshine which is a winner and the pump sounds really strong. Next I discovered it keeps cutting out at low revs which is annoying at traffic lights or going to pull off etc, now it's just running rough as toast but when you give it some revs and ride it above 5k it seems fine. It's like it's just misfiring so it's had a new spark plug and the air filter is super clean. It's almost like it's hunting and the throttle response is abysmal. I'm going to check the coil/HT lead, injector ch…
