Hi everyone, my name is Matt. I am in the process of fixing up/restoring a 1977 DT175 that was given to me. The bike is in not bad condition and i think with a little TLC it will come up nice. I havnt really been into bikes for a long time, probably around 20 years ago when I owned a YZ80E. I will be needing lots of advice, as I havnt really done much work on bikes in the past. I am a mechanical fitter by trade, so I dont think this is out of my reach to restore this bike. Look forward to talking with you. Cheers Matt

HEllo everyone, Daffyduc here. I've had a licence for more years than I care to remember, my first bike was a BSA Bantam! I bought my XJ6 Diversion 18 months ago to tour on. I'm barely 5' 4" so most 'true' touring bikes are too big and heavy for me. I've done 5000 plus miles on it so far and am very pleased with it, though the comments made regarding it's touring capacity, mainly from the Pan European and GS 1200 owners, irritate me at times. Other half has a GS, but he knows better, understands the height and weight issues I have with bikes and recommended the diversion anyway. I'm happy, tours at high speeds on motorways and agile on the twisty, keeps up with other b…

Hi guys - got a few Yams in the family but after some help with daughter's DT50MX - stolen and recovered tore all the dash and clocks off and twisted wires together. Bought a donor bike for bits with spare ignition and clocks. Refitted and electrics working but no spark - it is a CDI model. Is there any way to test CDI for faults and would shorting all 4 ignition wires together cause this to burn out? Got a TY250 majesty, FZ600 and FZR1000 exup between us! I look forward to getting to know you guys. Steve

Hi all, just signed up, although I have had several bikes over the years, I have just recently acquired a 1984 XJ750 F (I think, see below) needs a bit of tidying but in pretty good nick for a 28yr old, got no paper work with it so flying a bit blind as regards exactly what it is, will post a photo if I can so you can see and maybe someone out there can put me straight, came with no pads front or rear so trying to work out what fits it, any help would be appreciated. P.S this is not my bike but a picture of one exactly like it.
