Hi everyone, Just joined the site as its about time to get the 950 Midnight Star out on the road again and thought I should say hi. I am currently considering if I should self install a set of Hard Saddle Bags, Trunk, Engine Bars, Spot Lights, Batwing Fairing, Auto Com and powerpoints in the Trunk.... OR... to have someone else do it for me. I did a few small things on the VN900 before I traded it for the Star last summer and had the above parts shipped from the USA. It doesn't look like I need a lot of tools, but I'm concerned about the drilling of the fiber glass saddle bags and trunk (think thats what they are made from). Also need to think if I want to ta…

Hello people, another newbie to the forum. Recently bought an Xj6 Naked (black) on the 60 finance package. Upgraded from a YZF-R125 after passing my direct access. I'm already missing the 125, the sporty look and feel. But not anywhere near enough power and was pretty hard on the wrists. Not actually riden the XJ6 yet, bought it and its been parked in the garage until better weather. Should be a pretty sweet ride though. Inexperienced new rider on a new 600 on new tyres in wet weather. =S Bring on the nice weather already!! Let the fun begin!

Hello guys! Name's Andrew, and I just got my MT-125. VERY keen in tagging along on any trips that might be happening in the general area of London, just as long as I don't hold everyone behind.

Hello Everyone! Samm, 28 from Essex. New to bikes and having just passed my CBT I bought myself a rather shiny XVS125... with rather large 31K on the clock! COVID19 has stopped me riding in the last week or so but I still managed to put 300 miles in while I had the chance. Now onto making her as clean and tidy as I can so she at least looks the part when I'm back to doing 55MPH flat out. XD

Hello everybody! New to the forum, and hoping to to find a good sense of community here. I've got a Dragstar 650a classic, but it's been SORN for a year and a half to 2 years now, so will need some work done getting it back on the road. I have a few questions, starting with, any recommendation for a good MOT garage in Crystal Palace or surrounding area? and the second question is regarding the UK license, I been riding since I was 18 back in South america, but my license expired and now I'm taking my UK license as if I never rode a bike before just did my CBT and the theory test, I see that the practical final test is divided in 2 parts ( more chances …

I'm glad to be here! I found this forum out of futility after being 'shunned' by a H.O.G. chapter this past weekend. What happened? My wife and I were touring the Wisconsin countryside on my 2005 V Star 1100 Classic, we stopped for some lunch and I parked amongst the Harley's...did I mention we wear helmets too...scoffs and barely heard comments ensued around us. Aren't we all 'brothers' in spirit on the road? When I ride my 81' 850 Special with the custom paint job (color changing) I've had guys on 883's and old Sporties sit next to me in traffic and say they envy my 'Old-School Triple'. What gives? My V Star looks like a 50's cruiser...well, as the saying goes …

Hi there, just joined this forum basically for help with a new project (tzr50) been fiddling with cars most of my life but new to bikes so a learning curve for me! Bought this bike to get back on the road originally for my sons 16th, we just found out he does not want a bike so I guess i'll have to use it myself once done! To be honest it would be far easier to scrap, but thats what I do, I like to bring things back from the dead, to return to their former glory... Simon

Hello my name is Richard, or Dick if you like...or Rich, Rick, Richie or Ricky. I answer to em all. Was registered on here ages ago when I had Fazer thou (best bike I ever had btw) but can't remember that account name or password. In the years since I was last here I gained bmw touring bike (from a very bad bmw dealer) achieved a divorce, job change, house move etc and sold the r1200 for peanuts compared to what I paid for the bent frame bitch. Yes it got bent by the folks who recovered it when broke down. I'm now lucky enough to be with an old favourite

Hello all, I remember subscribing here a while back now but cant remember whether I introduced myself and haven't been on in a long time. Firstly my name is Tom and I own a SR125. I've only got a CBT but I have my bike theory tomorrow and have my mod 1 booked for next week. I have been riding for less then a year but i have to say that it is the best form of transport. After playing around on a bike I was convinced I wanted to give it a go so i went and got myself on a CBT. I spent a good couple of months cruising around on my bike until i decided to do an engine + carb swap. Since then I haven't really been out on the roads much mainly due to distractions keeping m…

i came across your blinding site looking for pictures of a RD125DX like my best mate had back in the day. lm a bit of a fan of the Yamaha to say the least, i have a few. The little IT is what i had on the road at 17, the R1 is for my inner 12 year old..........................and probably the eventual demise of my driving licence The big IT has had a few mods, head etc, so it works, got some others but cannot upload any more pics Picked up the CS3 for about 300 quid, it is now immaculate 2400 miles. Cheers AOI

I thought it would be best to introduce myself on here, I have just bought my first bike, being a DT125RE 2006. I’m happy with the bike although it will need a bit of TLC, maybe even a top end soon as it’s on 23,000 KM, I’m going to get a compression tester and find out though. I’m thinking of even doing a full rebuild to get the bike looking brand new as I do have a soft spot for the bike especially being my first. If I go down this road I think I’ll buy an Athena 170 top end kit and rebuild the bottom end. We’ll see what the finances are saying in a couple of months. First things I did was flush out the 2 stroke oil, coolant and gear oil, they are now all topped up to…

Hello all, On my 60th birthday last September my family treated me to a CBT Training day. The last time I rode a bike was 43 years ago, and that was when I nicked my brothers Suzuki 90 to go and see my mates. I never passed my test and always regretted it! My son has been a biker for 15 years and I helped him strip and renovate his 1976 Honda 750, it looked brilliant when finished and I thoroughly enjoyed the project. I know own a Suzuki SR 125, runs well after rebuilding the engine and is a great training bike. I now have my eye on a 1978 XS 500 to renovate and hopefully ride after I have taken my road test (and hopefully passed). On a down note I have tried the pr…
