Hi folks, posted already on the forum, but my name is Scott. Nice to meet you all. I currently ride an xvs 125 bobber, gradually changing bits here and there. Basically the whole thing is going to be black, eventually, and the plan is to cut off the silencers, then fabricate some new glass pack straight-throughs. Once the bike's done I'm selling it, as I'm aiming to do my test and get a 250-400. There she is in a half finished state. I've since sprayed the engine black, the mudguard is black too, and all the electrics are on and wired up.

Hello, my name is jon-paul and i have recently bought a 1996 Yamaha TTR 250 (purple wheel). I have been riding off-road since i was about 14 and had a few of moto-cross/field/trials bikes up until i was around 19 including DT 50 and 80, Suzuki RM 125, TY 175. now 33, I never passed my bike test when i should have done back in my younger days when it sounded like a wheelie and skid was enough to get your ticket! or so they tell me any way! My main point of coming on here was to ask about tyres and the choices I have as far as getting a on-road/off-road compromise, 18 x 110 x 100 full nobble are on it now. Thanks JP

First of all an intro i think, My name is Ed, I am from the UK but currently live in Denmark. I have owned a pre-div XJ600 for about a year now and recently bought a TDM850. (Enjoying both bikes immensely but i found the 600 too small for touring over large distances.) Being new to yamahas I wanted to come and see if I could meet a few people and of course soak up as much experience and knowledge on my bikes as possible Basically I am really happy this place exists as there arent a lot of bikes or people who know about them in denmark. Hopefully, after a bit more experience, if i can give something back as well that would be great. cheers..

hi, I'm Tomas and have just recently bought a Yamaha RXS 100. What a brilliant it is ! It definately has this classic feel and look. However because of it's age (1989) it needs a little bit of tlc, so I'm realy looking forward to join this community and find out as much as possible about these lovely bikes

  9. Started by Thunderchild,

Just a quick hello from Derbyshire. I ride a Dragstar 125 at the moment and have been for about 16 months. Having gained the road experience on a bike (been driving for 20 years), I'm now looking forward to doing my DAS this summer so I can upgrade to a big boys bike. Enjoying the ride, but now have cc envy. That said, arriving at school on any bike (I'm a teacher), still gives a certain degree of kudos with the kids. Ride safe.

Hello all from the deepest depths of Dorset. Got my self a new toy a while ago, this is my Yamaha DT125MX: Not bad for 34 years old. Its a good laugh showing it to people, its comfortable to ride, doesn't drink petrol like my other vehicle and certianly isn't the slowest 125 around. What more could you want?

Just saying "Hello" ! Happy to find this page, hope it will be helpful ! Been a "biker" now and then, (I have turned 73 years), sold my latest (last ?) bike in Sweden in August, a BMW R100RT 1976. I now live in the Phillipines, I I would like to do biking here, many very beautiful places to go, and also a bit dangerous. There are not many good bikes available here, some preused with anonymous history. There is not a market for new cruising bikes here. Found some preused ones that could go for cruisers. People use scooters and single cylinders up to 180 cc. They run like rocketed snakes in between and all around the cars. …

Hi Thought I would join the forum to mark the return to the road of my 1977 dt100. It has spent the last 31 years in a shed I.last rode it in 1980! It looks pretty good,I took the time to grease all the chrome, oil in the tank etc to preserve it. Have a few issues to sort out, will be asking for some advice no doubt. Anyway I rode it today and it made me feel 30 years younger if nothing else.

Hello everyone! As I am already long-term FZS1000 owner and recently bought -91 XJ600 for new project bike, it's time to join the club! Regarding the new project, of course there will be some advice needed. The bike was forgotten to the warehouse for some 6-7 years and now there are some electrical issues. Hope to get some good advice to get this little back roads soon.
