Hi all! My name is Harry. I am 18 years of age and started riding bikes as soon as I legally could (maybe before) I'm currently in the process of passing my test and am considering the wonderful R6 once passed. Obviously it will need to be restricted to 33BHP. Could anyone give any advice on insurance premiums?? Thanks Harry

I recently purchased a new 2009 Stratoliner and it is my first Yamaha. I haven't riden it yet because I live in the Great White North and the roads need to clear up a bit first and I need to get insurance. I am looking for an insurance company that can bundle all my bikes into one package and not bone the shit out of me in the process. If you have any suggestions please let me know. Anyways I am looking forward to crossing the country a couple of times this Summer and enjoying my new ride.

As the title says greetings, just to introduce myself. After 30+ years returned to two wheels, made the mistake of not doing my test back then when I had my RD. Born, live and work in the Bolton area, married for as long as I can remember. Now have four kids, well two are not so much kids now, ages 20, 17, 12 and 10. For the last 18 months been riding a YZF R125 and loved every minute of it. Use the bike as my every day mode of transport as I got sick of the cost and agro of four wheels, leave that to her indoors now. I eventualy got round to doing my DAS a few weeks ago, just got to say a big thank you to Mike, Paul and the crew from Williams MC Training at the ba…

Hi, I should have done this last week when I became a member, but at 65yrs old the brain has all sorts of issues (lol). I have been riding bikes for quite a few years, legally since 1970/71 this was a Honda CD175cc which at the time you were allowed to ride on a prov licence. On passing my test I took on the might of a RD 400 what a buzz, then went on to do my Instructors course and gradually rose to the dizzy heights of riding Honda Gold Wings 1200 then the 1500. Which as you get older the heavier they become and had to give up due to not being able to hold it on a slope. Now I am trying to do a rebuild on a 535 Virago which had been fired.

Hi all ! Ian here - just joined up and saying hello! I'm now in my third year of 'officially' riding, after a summer holiday in 2007 with a rented 125 reminded me what I was missing! So finally decided to take the test and bought a fine, little-used XTZ Ténéré, which I maintain myself. If it was a 'mid-life crisis' I hope there will be many more... Used to muck about off-road on various trials machines as a teenager, but so far limited mileage on tarmac. I see that changing :-) Seems like a great community here! Look forward to participating :-) P.S. I'm British but moved to Sweden 7 years ago. Liking it!

HI...I am an aviation type... Mostly Air Traffic Control. Did some Airfield Management @ DFW Intl which came in handy for the next phase...Contractor Airfield and Air Traffic Control Management in Afghanistan and Iraq. 2012 to 2017. Then had a contract to review contracts as an Aviation Subject Matter Expert for the Army @ Rock Island Arsenal, IL. Not as much fun as the Mid East. Going to either AFG or IRQ one passes through Dubai. Crazy place...loved it -have about 6 months total in Dubai. Probably one of the few that has time in Viet Nam, IRQ, and AFG. Tons of experiences...but like most the telling of them tends to bore most people. Only grandchild is in Japan (son in …

Hi there, My names Neil and im a dragstarHolic! I live in Kent with me wife and Ickle boy and 2 grumpy old sausage dogs. Ive been riding Motorbikes now for a number of years as my primary source of commute along the M20. I have recently purchased an old but low millage Dragstar650 which i am loving cruising around on (gave bandit up due to back problems) for work and leisure. She has carried me through many a localised flood and even through a wild marauding Stag ( well it had antlers and it hurt like..... alot). Ive not had any real problems with her mainly the fuel cap falling to bits in the tank (yep that was funny), my paniers slipping over (badly install…

Greetings all, I have been a stalker lurker on these forms for a while and thought that I'd finally say hi and hopefully get involved with these forums. About 2 years ago I bought a Yamaha sr125. Unfortunately I bought a fecked up bike, it took myself about 8-12 months work to fix this bike, at the time I was studying for a degree in engineering and found that fixing the bike was helping me learn about engineering. The bike ran for a while until the neighbours brats decided that the bike is a play thing, bits went missing, bike was knocked over several times, paint work was wrecked and I was forced to use public transport. Something that is best described as an …

Mike here, from Tucson Arizona. Life-long biker type, both on and off road. Harleys mostly, but a few years ago I had a very serious accident and am now limited to riding something smaller and lighter. When you fall of the horse, you get right back on... especially if you get knocked off. I found this forum researching an issue I'm having with a 2009 V-Star 650 I purchased bout a month ago. As you can see, the bike is highly modified, and it runs like a raped ape. The issue I'm having is that after riding just a few miles, the bike just dies. But as soon as I roll to a stop, I hit the starter button and it's running just fine again. It also seems to only happen…
