Afternoon all. Figured it was about time I signed up for the owners club! I took advantage of Yamaha's '60' deal last September and replaced my self-restored GSX-F600 with a red XJ6 Diversion. I call her Maggie and she's the other woman in my life, much to my wife's delight! Done 1200 miles on her so far - trying to ride through the winter and not be a massive softy! I'm pretty new to riding having only passed my test in May 2010. So yeah, hi!

Hey all, So after years of wanting to ride, I've finally gone and bought my first bike. A red 2009 Yamaha YBR-125. Having done my CBT a little over 12 months ago, time was ticking down until I'd have to either do my full license or redo the CBT. So I decided I'd pull my finger out, get on the road, and build up my experience in order to prepare for the full license test I aim to take in the next 6 months. The bike is in great condition, however I did snap the gear shifter off due to wearing big thick military boots and being a little too heavy-footed. I've already bought a replacement and I'm looking forward to getting my hands dirty this evening and repla…

Greetings fellow bikers! I'm new to the YOC but have been a bike owner since I was 13. I bought my first Yamaha in 1970. It was a DT1B 1969 250 enduro. I just turned 54 on Monday, and being happily divorced, I now own a small heard of early 70's Yamaha 360 enduros. (a 1972 RT2, 2 1973 RT3's and a 74 DT360) I'm here in pursuit of knowledge, guidance and fellowship as I'm embarking on my first restoration effort. I've looked around a bit and like what I see here very much. Looking forward to spending more time here as the projects progress. Thanks in advance for viewing.

Hey guys, Just saying hello... Name: Paul, but I go by Snakebite. Bike: YZF1000R Thunderace. Biker Status: Returning biker (2 years on the 5th of January) (now fully legal!) Mechanical Status: Competent Amateur. Skill Level: Still Alive and haven't dropped it yet... I never know what to write in these things. I want to do more of my own mechanicals, but without a garage, the Ace being my primary mode of transport and my 'drive' being composed of tailings, it's not easy. Our lass and me are looking for a house to buy at the moment, so I'm hopeful for a decent garage soon! Theoretically, I'm capable of doing a complete strip do…

Hi all. I used to own a few yamahas when I was younger but now own a very well looked after yzf400 1999 model. I got her quite cheap as the fella who sold was in tight situation so he had to let her go ! He was in the process of making it road legal but the task now falls upon me... There is a lighting kit semi fitted and real nice tagasako excel supermoto rims in black with gold talon hubs (which look amazing btw). I have looked on a few forums of how to make her road legal and keep seeing about applying to the manufacturers about a "certificate of newness" but I have no idea how to apply for it through yamahas site. Could anyone please offer some advice or point me in t…
