Hey o/ Passed my full test* restricted test a few months back and been driving around on a Yamaha XT 125 X (2008). Was almost going to buy a MT-03 but I decided to wait a while before I move up. Also the XT is just awesome and I have trouble letting it go, tbh, I would have just kept the XT if I had gone for the MT-03 but I was told against keeping two bikes so the XT stayed I'm currently doing some modifications on it so I'll upload the pics when I'm done Some pics of the bike before any mods apart from the arrow exhaust. These were taken before I passed my test so those hideous L-plates are not remotely in the vicinity of my bike. Glad to be here and probabl…

Hi again from Sweden ! Still working on my Little DT50MX. Compression is quite low, it feels like, so I'll probably do a ring job during the Winter. We have some steep hills around here, so I tried one of the steeper ones yesterday. It would not make it up in 4th or 3rd gear without a lot of struggle, but did ok in 2nd. Maybe ok for this Little fellow with a 140-150# rider.

Hi guys, My first time using this forum. I have an XJ900F and when I turn the ignition on (without the motor running), The tacho immediately swings around to full revs and then hovers around the 8,000rpm mark. There is also a buzzing sound coming from under the tank. The motor won't start, but was running fine previously.

Hi everyone I'm new to this site and and hoping to pick up some mechanical and engineering advice. Has anyone tried to fit Fzr1000 usd forks and swingarm to a TDM 850. I have both. I love the TDM to ride as it's so comfortable and the torquey engine is superb the only thing wrong is it is let down by the soft handling. The FZR is ok but makes my back ache (i'm past my sell by date) so I thought I would swap over the sporty parts from FZR to TDM. Any ideas welcome, apart from selling the TDM. Cheers

Morning all, just joined the forum, had my TDM for about 3 weeks now and loving it. Part ex'd my Triumph Bonny America as she was getting unreliable, and as much as I'd spent on her, she still needed more, I need the reliability as I use it every day for work so I ended up with the Yammy, hoping she'll see me through for a good while now !?!? Have fun Lem

Good evening all, I'm Greg I have recently purchased a Tdr125 1993 with delta box frame and thought I would sign up to the forum to share the build project. I intend to do a few minor mods Including Trail tech vapour, usd forks,17inch front wheel, better brakes. For the moment though it seems she has never had any of the oil seals replaced and that will be my first thing to do. I've ordered a mitaka piston from PJME with little end bearing and a powervalve service kit, as again the original seals were shot.. Thanks guys and if you like little 125 2strokes watch this space.

Is there a specific place here to request technological help? I may be getting on a bit, but I'm pretty good with technology, but things like getting my Cardo, Gopro, Rider 550 & phone all working together is a little beyond me. Is there anyone (preferably in West Yorkshire) that is a wiz with these things?

Hello to all. Let me introduce our selves. We are a group of individuals from Greece, UK and Cyprus and in April 2012 we are about to beging an epic journey around the globe, visiting more than 40 countries in 6 continents, covering more than 53000 miles in only 120 days, with one target. To raise founds for children control by UNICEF. We are all ready in the 14th month of preperation, but hopefully we are going to be ready on time. We do have the support of few companies, and with their support we hope that we will make it to the end. The route is as follows. We start from Athens Greece and through Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Mongolia we are going to Sib…

Do you necessesarily need to be young to be a biker? No way! We got new neighbors a few years back. The man in the house was a youngster, not even 40 at the time. And with the large expectations of the youth he bought a motorbike at the same time he purchased the house. The house was small, and he planned to triple its size. And his plan was also to use the spare hours between the full time job, the wife, the two children (6 and 8), and the construction work to get a bikers license! So, there we were: Him with a bike but no license - me with a 40 years old license but no bike. I drove his bike now and then and had a lot of fun. And so, up came my 60th birthda…

Hi all, I am a typical bloke in his 50s who rode bikes in his yoof My Wife has been against me getting back into it for decades, but her viewpoint has softened this year when our 19 year old son did his A2 licence and agrees it would be sensible for me to get back into it to keep an eye on our lad.... 😉 What has hastened this is the accidental acquisition of two bikes. Firstly my son found a pair of derelict bikes in the farmyard over the road, the farm had been sold so the farmer just told us to take them as the yard was going to be cleared. Turms out it is an almost complete XT125 and half of a DT125R. The DT had no frame number so I broke that and sold o…

hi all. just thought I would intro myself as seems the norm for newbies on this site. Call me M. from R.S.A (yes we have electricity and internet ) started many years ago with a red/black dt 50 watercooled.,served me well. Eventually upgraded to 86 it 200. went to college came back and my folks had sold it off ( only a 3 month course ) very annoyed. a few years later shared a 1996 FZR 750 with the old man...sold it off because one of us wouldn't be here today. Finally got a 2000 Honda CR250 2 stroke. scary bike but awesome. Started a family sold the toy and found a 1999 dt 175 rotting away on the family farm. so apart from having a wife , child and a car I thoug…

Being self-employed in London driving a van, I needed a solution to get myself around the city during the games. I bought a chinese import 125 scooter to get me though the olympics 2 months ago; I was relieved when a reluctant Yamaha dealer agreed with some arm twisting to take it off my hands as px on a Oct'11 Yamaha YBR 125. I am now more than satisfied with my new bike and would strongly recommend anyone who is tempted by the low prices of internet scooters fron china to avoid them at all cost. I know £899 sounds to good to be true for a 125 scooter; but like anything, you definately pay for what you get. I did my CBT on a 125 YBR Yamaha and I knew then that I…
