Greetings all. I'm from malaysia. Been 2 years since my brother pass his scooter to me. And in that 2 years my knowledge of scooter is still only 10%. I hope I can learn a few from you all about scooters or maybe other bikes and maybe share my 10% knowledge of scooters. Because knowledge is power my friends. Have a good day! [emoji3]

Love new forums, so much info. I bought a dt125 about 10 years ago from a swap meet. Ran great for 3 days then siezed up. Ten years later still bugs me to this day sooo...I got 300 dollars into it now so whats another 200 and have a rebuilt motor right. Well getting everything togeather today I realized im missing a lot of parts. I have the cylinder but no head or bolts. water got into motor and rod and crank are a little rusty now. I got them moving and realixe I either need a new crank, to have a clean surface for new rod bearrings, or can I just replace a pin not sure how they come apart. I found new pistons used heads and such off of ebay, and it is now that I rea…

Hi all My name is allen. I live in the essex area and im looking into doing my das course. So 1st off i need some advice from you guys. 1. What type of bike would be a good one to start on. Im 6ft 6inch tall n fairly well built. My dad suggested to me to look at a fazer as its more of a sports tourer bike. I originally said an r1 or r6. ( Im use to bikes in my job so fairly confident on a bigger bike). But dad said because of my build ill be aching more then anything on a proper race bike. 2. When i get my bike, im going to get it on finance, however it needs to be guarented finance due to not so great credit score. Ive got one default on there as well as the od…

Hi Folks, Thought it's about time I'd introduce myself here. I'm Harry, up in Fife, Scotland, still quite new to biking - been riding for around 3-4 years now currently on a little silver 06' plate YBR 125 Carb Model quite a cracking little bike, before that I started out on a simple SR125. Still on the L plates till I can afford to sit the full test and the hefty insurance prices if I upgrade to a bigger bike. Just figured I'd join the forum and make an appearance for a change. Looking to give my current bike a fair bit of TLC and a wee tidy up so will be scouring the forums for similar topics.

It was always inevitable that I would end up with another bike but I wasn't expecting it to be so old. So hi I'm Chris. This is my third Yamaha and I hope it'll be my favourite. I've taken a punt on a 79 XS250 which doesn't start so you'll be hearing from me pretty sharpish to get myself back on the road.

  13. I know it probably won't be to many of y'all's taste, but I've picked up a '94 Diversion S 900 which will soon be getting a set of stabilizers (or a trike conversion, whichever way you look at it!) Reason being that I have a car licence, don't have a bike licence and would rather not ride a motorbike around my area due to idiot drivers. Plus I can't be bothered to do a bike test! LOL Oh, and it's called Sid the Trike! Here's some pics to enjoy! And having a bit of a play on it For those of you wondering why it's called Sid, my mate mark made a good point that the engine on the side looks like Sid the sloth from …

Hi guys and gals, I'm Taylon from London and currently rockin' a 95' Black on black FZR600r which is in pretty immaculate condition. Some of you may have seen it on ebay 2 weeks ag... well its mine and I love it. One slightly small/big annoying problem however... It hates 2nd gear :-s Its jumps and skips out of it like theres a tooth missing in the box. Anyway i'll post more about that in the correct section. I hope I'm welcome and look forward to some meets this summer! Taylon. PIctures to follow tomorrow.

Hello all! Having just rejoined the ranks of DT ownership thought I'd sign up here and let myself be known. Thought it best that way before I start annoying all by posting numerous silly questions to the resident experts here!! Briefly, about me..... started my biking in the '70's, firstly with a very beat up old NSU Quickly then the more conventional route of FS1-E, RD250 and my first DT, a brand new white '79 250MX. I took delivery of that beauty still in the crate and built it up myself at home. Not something which would be allowed these days! Years have gone by and never without at least one bike in the garage. Laterly a couple of Virago's (when my k…

  19. Started by WherEmEweeD,

Just bought myself a Yamaha XT125X Supermoto '07 for £220 needs few bits and bobs but overall drives well and looks the job sincei have cleaned/polished her. Also needs taxed and mot'd shouldn't be a problem, once i have completed my CBT and have the bike fully cleaned and serviced myself (including have the whole bike taken apart and put back together). The bike itself needs new: Chain and sprockets speedo cable (as expected with this bike) Preferably new clutch plates new battery 10w 40 oil oil filter Maybe put a new exhaust on just for looks as it is only rusty looking part on the bike. Previous bike was a 125cc loncin pitbike.

Hello everyone. Just joined the club and need some advice. Been riding and wrenching bikes since the sixties so I'm not new to bikes but just bought my first Yamaha IT400 (1977). Trying to set the ignition timing after a top end re-build. Using the Clymer manual and very confusing! Manual says to line up timing marks on rotor with timing mark on crankcase and the only mark is deep inside cover and really hard to see. Also shows only one timing mark on rotor and there is three marks. (I am assuming the center mark is TDC, left mark is BTDC, and right mark is ATDC.) Can anyone spell out the timing procedure for me? Really want to get this monster running! Thanks for any he…
