Hello Forum, I just joined so I'm here to say hello; 'hello'. Can I explain what I'm here for and respectfully ask for any hints / tips that anyone may care to share: I was the very proud owner of an RD350LC YPVS (a 31K) back in the day; long story short I had to sell it, the guy who bought it ignored my warnings and threw it down the road within a week of owning it; I was heartbroken - I loved that bike. Time has passed and I've now got some garage space, a knock-off Haynes manual and a burning desire to find another 31K that needs some TLC and build myself a nice weekend stroker to tool about on and tinker with. I'm not after concourse winning stuff, just something…

Hi all, Nick here just introducing myself to the forum and appreciate all the great articles on here. I am in Mali West Africa on contract work and have just acquired a Yamaha DT125 and would like to know if anyone know the year model of the bike to get parts for the restoration process. It is white with a black seat, the exhaust in on the right side, single suspension in the rear and it has drum brakes front and back with a square headlight in a plastic fender. The engine number is 3TT 165564. Thank you in advance.

hi,guys, joined last September, but never got around to saying hi, so, better late then never! got this little baby from the USA, only 4700 miles on it and in very nice condition for a 35 year old bike. must have been wrapped in cotton wool, not a spot of rust on her at all. even the nuts and bolts are shiny. slight rip in the seat, but managed to get a seat cover from Canada, which i've fitted myself, not a bad job for my first attempt. started a major clean up last year, pulling all the connectors apart and cleaning with contact spray, amazing amount of white sand was found in some of them, but she did come from Arizona, so no surprise. pulled off the …

Evening, everybody. My name is Wayne and I'm from South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford in Essex. I have to admit, that at this moment in time, I'm between bikes, and don't own a Yamaha.....Yet. However, I'm hoping to purchase a 2012 R1 in a few weeks, after trashing my ZX10R @ 20mph!!! Long story...... So, I am hoping for some helpful advice on buying my 1st Yamaha bike, and so decided to join this bustling forum to do some reading and research on what the R1 is like to live with as a Road Only bike, and ask your opinions on parts and anything else that I can think of. So thats me in a nut shell really.. Looking forward to chatting away and talking bi…

Hi everyone, my name is Jason and I have been lucky enough to get hold of a 1981 dt80 mx. Unfortunately it was in bits with lots missing but I have gradually built it back up. It's not concourse more aged at the moment as I still want to use it. I have always been a sports bike rider but due to family I decided to give that up and get some more classic bikes. So I got this dt80 mx and also a tzr250 3ma. I probably couldn't have picked 2 harder bikes to get parts for!!

I have recently bought a '99 XVS650 classic in need of a new engine which I'm hoping to get sorted and on the road within the next month, so no doubt I'll be asking a lot of stupid questions in the next few weeks
