Hello all i'm from Shrewsbury Shropshire 44 years old and this is my first bike, Tried taking my Direct Acess but not to sucessfully, so decided to buy a Yamaha 125 R instead ride that for a year or two while i get some expeirence than put in for my bike test, quite happy with my WR though at least its cheap tax and insurance give me chance to build up some no-claims hopefully.

Hi all Thought I'd say a quick "Hi". I've just bought my first bike, a Yamaha XVS 125 Drag Star, only had a licence for about a year and completed CBT last October. It's all new to me, but loving every minute on the bike, the feeling of freedom is fantastic! Cheers Mark

Hi all, Just thought I'd introduce my self. I'm a new motorcycle rider (CBT 9th April) and I've just bought my first bike. A YBR 125. My aim is to gain experience of riding before going via the DAS route to a full license. I'm 30 and want to keep the miles of my Audi A4 as it's a bit hungry on juice being a quattro petrol turbo. I'll probably keep the 125 even after I get my full bike license as a litle commuter. So it's Hello from me. Danny

Hi all Just a quick Introduction on the fourom for a soon to be rider. I am a 20 year old father of one and work in IT looking to start a new lifestyle as a motocyclist rather than a public transport jocky . However as being a new rider I do have one question I am looking at a YBR as a first bike and I am wondering should I buy new ? I will get between 2-3 years out of it before I can move on to a full A licence anyway however being my first bike Im likely to drop it ect however I do have a 2 years manufacture warrenty plus a year of roadside recovery. Did any one here buy new for there first bike and would they recommend it ? (bearing in mind finance repayment = …

Hi, I'm Scott from Hull. Just bought my first bike which is a yamaha xt 125 x 2010 model. Not the best of bikes but I got it for a good price. I have little experience with bikes but I look to get quite into riding now I've got a bike. Hopefully I can learn something here and meet some nice people. Thanks for reading

Just picked up a nice Yamaha yzf r125, lots of fun! Will be looking to keep this for when i do my restricted licence and possibly even after that. Not looking to do that much modification to the bike except the exhaust system - i assume this is quite common? - any good brands/good sounding exhausts out there? Cheers

Hey everybody, I'm a new rider and am looking to buy my first bike. I found a nice looking '93 Seca II (Divvy) for sale and was looking for some advice on this bike (and new rider bikes in general). 600cc was more than I was planning on getting for my first bike but this one kind of jumped out at me. What do you guys think about this as a first bike? I've read they are fairly reliable but is there anything I should ask or look for if I do go to check it out? Thanks in advance!

Hi all, Passed my CBT a couple of weeks ago and got myself a YBR-125 Custom. A few mates were saying I should have something sportier but I'm going to be going fairly slow no matter what I got, so thought I'd go for something which says "I don't care I'm only doing 50!" Also, the fact that I've just turned 40 and getting a bike is purely coincidental and in no way reflects an impending mid life crisis. Honest. Now, anyone know a good tattoo artist in Wiltshire? Graham
