Hi everyone. Just signed up after deciding to try and restore an old DT100 as my winter project. Ran OK last time I used it 20 years ago (when I was much lighter than I am now), but has sat in a garden shed since and has a good bit of rust about it. Lots of work and a few parts needed but I think it still has good bones. look forward to catching up on the forum!

Hey guys, wanted to introduce myself, im Danijel (Daniel[J is silent]). Anyway, im fairly new to dirtbikes, i had a 1990 Honda XR100R, loved that thing, i learned to ride on it. Unfortunately a couple months ago i let a friend borrow it while i was gone for a weekend, i cam back and it was in pieces, and burnt.. He said the air filter contacted the muffler, caught fire, and the whole bike went up. There was nothing salvageable or worth repairing.. Well a few days ago i traded a friend for his old dirtbike. I'm not sure of the year, neither is he, but it looks like an 84 or 85. Its Yamaha DT 125 Liquid Cooled. Ive only seen it 1 time, in his garage. They haven…

Good day folks, well it is here at least, which probably means I should be expecting snow tomorrow, what with the randomness of weather Ireland encounters I drive a Yamaha Dragstar xvs125, which I've had since I was twenty one, I'm twenty eight now and it's still doing me well, its recently passed the 42000Km mark so I wouldn't say I've done much driving on it in the years. I've ridden a few other bikes since such as a Racing Aprilia 125, a Lexmoto xtr125, a Sinnis Vista 125, all my little brothers bikes, as you can imagine none of these have tempted me to part with my dragstar in the least. My only experience riding a larger bike has been on a Honda CB400 Super …

Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Ira and I have obtained full riding licence at end of April 2017, after previously riding on & off for 9 month. I ride Yam XVS Dragstar 650 classic aka 'Armadillo' I have also learn how to service my own bikes and I'm also learning how to fix problems that I'm having by myself. However I might have to pick your brains if I think I hit the wall at some point. I hope that you won't mind.

Hello everyone! I just bought my first Yamaha R125 over a month ago having been on the R6 and R1 and falling in love with them! I was a car lover to begin with...it didn't take the R6 long to change my mind I found this forum whilst googling how to wheelie my bike but some of your comments have convinced me not to do it!! And I'm sure it's for the better! Anyway, I hope to learn from you all and make friends I will be sharing some pics of my bike soon!

Hi there! I finally made the plunge into getting into biking. It's something I've looked at since leaving home 10 yrs ago, but have only made it financially viable (and I thought up a good enough excuse). I am the VERY proud owner of a brand new YBR 125 Custom and within 48hrs introduced it (and myself) to the joyes of riding at 0600 on damp roads and 2300 in rain. LOVED IT!! Haven't quite built up the cahones skirt in and out of traffic, but there's plenty of time for that. Now I just need to make sure I don't pick up too many bad habits before I make the final descision to take my "big bike" test, it was inevitable.... Matt @;o)

Morning all, Passed my unrestricted A licence just before Christmas 2015 and I'm now the owner of a pampered, shiny 1999 XVS650A. I have a nice pic taken at Loomies after he's had a clean and an ACF50 treatment!) I have bought a few extras already such as F8430 saddlebags (not sure if they'll fit but I'll sell them on if not) and footboards with the brackets (not going to fit those in a hurry as I'm still getting used to the new riding position). I've picked up a few useful tips from the forum already so I'll read on! Cath

Good evening one and all, A little introduction - My name is Carl.........usually known as CT...........nearly 50 years old........and I have made arrangements to become the next custodian of Drewpy's excellent, restored 78 XS400. I have been searching for one of these for a few years now - missed out on a few, and none as good as this one - as my father bought one new (blue) in 1980 when I got my first bike (CB100N) when I turned 17. He bought his from Motorcycle City in Greenford, Middlesex at, I would guess, must be a discount as (I understand it) it was a discontinued model by 1980 (I stand to be corrected). I do have a photo of his bike somewhere - I…

Hey guys, After browsing google through all the possible forums to tag up, i found yours and it seemed well layed out and informative. My name's Sean and i own a 96' YZF600R Thundercat, second to my 12' CBR250RAB. Thoroughly enjoying the bike, lots of new lessons already but thankfully never downed a bike although we could all agree theres so many close calls.. Will throw a pic up as soon as i can. Bought the bike for a bargain, unregistered, needed a service, needed tyres, list goes on but il fill all that in on my profile, my main goal (with help from you guys) is to learn everything i can similar to the way i know my cars inside out. Cheers
