Hi there to all, I have recently purchased a butt loads of DT125 parts and are currently in the process of trying to rebuild one. I have a Honda CRM 250 as well (I know most of you will probably condemn me for this lol!). Looking forward to getting to know some of you. Edit: I am having trouble identifying the year of the two engines that I have bought, if anyone knows a way of doing this I would be much appreciative if they could share their secret . I have spent hours trawling the internet this morning!

Hi, just joined up a few minutes ago, just thought I would say hello. I have been biking since I was 16 in many forms, road, motocross, enduro, but now mostly it all road touring and weekend ride outs. I have two Ducatis a 900 supersport which I spend the last year restoring and a ST4s I use for touring. I have also picked up a CX500 which I intend to convert to a Cafe Racer, and more importantly the reason for joining this site was I purchased a 1969 Yas1 about a month ago, and I'm hoping to pick some members brains on here about parts etc. Regards Desmoduke

I signed up long ago but kinda forgot about the site. I am planning to resurect my dads old 86 radian this spring its a good solid bike but hasn't been on the road for many years, he needed the carbs rebuilt and didn't want to spend the cash so it's sittin in the garage. My plan is to try and get it running this spring then maybe cut it up and customize it a bit. I'm not new to turning wrenches but I have very little motorcycle experience so I'll be surfing for info anywhere I can find it over the winter

Hi All Firstly wanted to say Hi! Just joined and feeling a bit guilty about posting a question straight away! Im currently bound to a shed in Nottinghamshire scratching my head to discover why the bike I bought only two weeks ago and run fine now will not start! All started Saturday... I had stripped panels of my xtz660 to give everything a good clean before passing my test and getting ready to ride! Passed in the week so I was set to rebuild Sat and get my first ride on my new toy :-) Everything back... no spark ? :-( I hadn't disconecting anything but battery and cdi unit. Getting power to lights indicators etc... bike turns over but wont give a spark Im…

Now i am looking for sites on head or engine removal as im going to need some expert help to sort out the problem. if anyone has any info that might help id really be greatful..... thanks Martin

Hiya guys my names Damon i'm 20 and i live in Shrewsbury in the UK. I've been floating around these forums for a while so I thought i'd introduce myself and show you all my bike I used to be on the DT forums but that seems to have disappeared now. I am a bit of a noob when it comes to engines as im more electrically minded so maybe expect a lot of stupid questions haha This is my '92 (K reg) DTR, had it for almost a year now, it started off in life as enduro and the fella that had it before me fully restored it in super-moto trim. Engine wise it's pretty much standard apart from the carbs been upjetted for the exhaust, Brembo brakes front & back with braided hos…

Well I'm one of the new guys as well. About three years ago I bought myself a dirt bike, YZ125, to finally get back into it. I had a little multi-terrain Honda when I was a teenager but it didn't run too well and it didn't last too long. Anyways I finally got back into off-roading and really enjoying it. I did post a thread looking for help with my clutch problem in the dirt bike section. Any help would be appreciated.

Hey, I'm new to the forum. Just picked up a 1974 DT 175. The previous owner used it for strictly dirt but I'd like to get it street legal again. I'll be coming on here to ask some questions as I restore/fix up the bike. She runs real nice right now and starts up first kick. I do believe the previous owner did some mods to the magneto but I'm not entirely sure. It has no battery and all wires have been stripped. Any input or advice is much appreciated. I've attached a pic. Looking forward to getting this lady on the road.

Saying "Hi" from the states, I stopped by to seek some wiring help on my '78 DT125 so I could get my bike running. It's going to be my summer ride to save money on gas (petrol for you guys over the pond ) It doesn't need to be a race winner, just a bike to get me into town (about a 6 mile drive / 15 kilometers?) to pay my bills, haul small stuff (like a roll of welding wire for the MIG Welder). Eventually I'll be replacing the top end on the 125 with a MX175 top end to squeeze a little more power out of the bike.

Hi Everybody! My name is Glenn. New to this forum. I'm originally from Los Angeles, but have been living in lovely Michigan for 14 years. I've been riding for 32 years, and am about to purchase a 2006 Stratoliner Midnight Edition (used, with 5,800 miles). By all accounts this looks to be a fantastic ride (moving up from a '98 Honda Shadow ACE Tourer). I look forward to interacting with you. I've been perusing a lot of discussions about the Strat, and from what I've gleaned, my first purchases after taking delivery will be a Lindby Highway Bar, D & D slip-on exhaust, Memphis Shades Batwing Fairing (no stereo - yet) and a Rivco air horn set. I hope to learn a lot fr…
