Hello, I'm so happy that I found this site!! I just purchased a 79 XS750F that the previous owner has owned since 1985. He rode it up to 1994 and then parked it in his garage. It's exactly as it was when he parked it and he states it ran great back then. I'm going to try to resurrect this beautiful bike and get it back on the road. It looks very nice on the outside but hope the inside it just as nice. Any advise on what I should do to prepare to get this bike running would be greatly appreciated. I'll post a picture of it shortly.

Hi I have been looking for a Yamaha site and thought I would give this site a try as there are all types of bikes on here. I can probably help out with R1 questions as I have been riding them since the birth in 98 but alas at the moment I am R1less After looking over the site I feel it will be a good place to find out info, help, parts and any shows that might be coming up from a bunch of like minded people Keep it safe

Thought it was time to join in. I rode a lot many years ago but unfortunately the front of a joyriders (hate the expression but there you go) 4x4 made an upfront and personally painful welcome with me .After many years of repairing me stuff I finally managed to remember a bit of what I was and who I am enough to get back into bikes.Hubby bought me the trike and kept my big bikes stored but recently bought me a cheap not perfect xvs125,so I won't mind scuffing it, to try and get me back on 2 wheels so baby steps for now but hope to get my lovely 750xv out of store maybe next year realistically. Well thats enough for now so hi to all

I supose I'm a NEWBEEEE here. Been lurking in and out for a while. Not new to bikes or Yamahas. I've had a few in my time, mostly air cooled RD250's 400's and I remember an old torque induction 200 that I had and loved more than any other. Probably the first real big two stroke I could pretend to Barry Sheene on. Alas that's all in the past and now just fond memories. At the moment I have an old XJR1200 with 87,000 miles, a Fazer 1000 Gen1 (FZS1000), KTM 640 LC4 enduro converted to supermoto and a Hyosu... Don't laugh, a Hyosung XRX 125 SM that's hardly supermoto but looks the part, is my daily hack and one of the most reliable bikes I've had... Not including the Y…

Hey all. Just saying hello. I've had an sr125 since December - when I passed my CBT. I originally planned on using the 125 to pass my CBT, and then progress up to the DAS and get a bigger bike, but Amy has worked her way into my heart, and I think I'll keep her for a while - hence joining the forum. She's a 2002 model, and I've fitted a top box, PDoiler, and Oxford Hotgrips - the latter two triggered by a relay hooked into the rear light cluster. And that's me.

Just joined the forum, looks like it'll come in pretty handy! I've just recently completed my CBT and am kicking about central Scotland on my YBR 125 (2013). I'm a total noob when it comes to the mechanical side of things, so I'm sure being a member on here will help me on my way - even if it's just the basics for now! Going to wait until winter is over and done with before I go for the bigger test, after only a couple of months the novelty of the bike hasn't worn off, however the commute from Carluke to Hillington via East Kilbride (30 miles each way) is becoming a little tedious, especially when I know how simple it is to simply scoot along the motorway! Anyway, t…

Hey all! Great forum. I had a DT 100 when I was a kid and now I've managed to acquire a '74 DT 175A so I'm sure I'll be spending plenty of time over in the classics section. Here's a pic of my project in it's current form. See you around. Joe
