Hi, I am a late starter I suppose. I passed my bike test on 16 June this year and decided on a nice 250cc dragstar. I've had my bike 4 days now and absolutely love it. My family havn't seen much of me this week, like a kid with a new toy lol. I live near to Birmingham in the West Midlands, England.

Hello All, Not quite yet a Yamaha owner but I am about 70% nearly Got a few questions to ask, I am looking into the Yamaha MT-09'S was thinking of going down the route MiYamaha PCP but i am finding the monthly payments to be on expensive side for at this time, So I am thinking of getting a personal loan which works out cheaper monthly payments, I have seen a 2013 MT-09 with 5k miles for about £5800 from a dealership, I was wondering what type of things would I get meaning Yamaha warranty still good for it ? and do you think I will get much trouble compared to buying a brand new for £7200? Obviously it seems cheaper the better for me at the moment, I am j…

Hi, I live in Birmingham and way way back in 1991 Part exchanged my 1980 xs650 for my first zzr1100 C3. I wish I could have kept it but monies wouldn't allow. I carried out a soft custom with my Brothers help, which included a small amout of material removed from the riders seat giving a slight actually very slight king and queen seat. Chrome clock pods and chainguard were added, tombstone rear light, slightly high bars, indicators removed, A35 bullet side lights wired into sidelight circuit, big back tyre, (Bike not girlfriend) but the exhausts in my view were the best bit. I used Ariel 350 silencers and the note was gorgeous. Anyway hopefully its ok for me to do this b…

Dear all, I freelance for Performance Bikes and also for Classic Bike. Right now I'm looking for a top notch SR500 to feature alongside a BSA Gold Star. It needs to be an excellent bike, preferably done out along cafe racer lines. Email me a picture [email protected]. Thanks. Jim Lindsay

  11. HI all learned Yamaha owners - I am new to Yamahas although i have a Suzuki in the past - i have recently bought the TX750 OHC and realising parts are scarce in the UK i was wondering what parts from other Yams retrofit? starters solenoids master cylinders and calipers - any info from other TX owners 500/750 or access to new old stock would be great. It seems i have a mountain to climb. Currently i have a starter issue - got 12v at the starter throught the solenoid and amps to turn it direct from a free standing battery and thick jump cables but its clicking at the solenoid when i wire the battery in to the bike it seems like the cables are too small or the starter …

I am new to this site, and I am trying to figure it out. In my endeavor to do so, I noticed that the first thing I need to do is an introduction... here goes I have been riding bikes off and on since I was old enough to kickstart a trail 90:) I have mostly ridden dirt bikes, but recently I bought a dusty old yamaha 400 special. I got a really good deal on it, but the carburetor came in pieces in a box... :/ I'm pretty mechanically inclined, so I'm sure i'll have it road worthy in a short time. In my search for a manual, I stumbled upon this site, and I found it pretty informative. Here I am! Hope to see some of you on the road! Hello everyone!

As it says really. No bike as of yet, looking for an xvs 125 in the south wales area to get me going. I'm just an old man who's taken 7 years to convince his wife that a bike is a good idea. Hope to pick up omething suitable during winter and strip off all the uneeded bits ready for spring and CBT, though working 6 days a week leaves little time. Anyway, hello, read a lot of the forum already.
