Hi all, I picked up my new YBR125 yesterday, and am loving it so far. Still wearing in the engine, so not sure if I should stick to short journeys and get the bus to work, or just set off early on the bike. Phil

Hi everyone, I am getting my biking career going a little later in life (44),but am really looking forward to it.I am sitting my CBT on Saturday, and when complete I have a Yamaha YZR R125 on order.Went to my mate earlier and he has one.Well impressed with it.Looks so much more than a 125.I rode a few scooters(twist and go) when I was younger, but am going to enjoy proper biking.Goes without saying that safety is paramount, and I will be making sure that I take in everything the instructors tell me on Sat. Anyway nice to be part of the forum Ian

Hi All, and thanks for letting me join! I bought my 2003 53k miles TDM 900 mid December, and have done 800+ miles so far, what a great bike. Very easy to ride, comfortable and fast enough.! I have fettled the calipers, changed all the fluids and am just about to start on the valves – dont think they have been done before ! I have got a set of posh hoses for her and a SmartMoto air bypass removal kit. I also have a 2008 Ducati S2R Thou which is playing up a bit, but will get it sorted soon. I have just sold a Moto Guzzi Le Mans, what a gawd awful tractor that turned out to be ! I have had dozens of bikes over the years, mainl…

Hi there folks Just found found this great looking forum & thought i'd register to pick up some tips & advice for my forthcoming adventures. My bike history is nothing (barring hiring a scrambler type bike for a day on a Greek isle some 25 years ago in my youth ha ha) but i've just booked my cbt for about 3 weeks time !!! The main reason is that i'm sick of spending nearly £70 to fill my car up for about 300 odd miles & i drive about 200+ miles per week commuting, so figured what the hell have i got to lose ?? I'm about to order a spanking new YBR125 in black from my local dealer to pick up on march 1st & hopefully that should see me right for…

Hi All I'm new to this forum and motor bikes in general - driven a few on various holidays and loved it, but that about sums up my experience. I'm 40 years old and fed up with commuting by bus/train into central London, recent increases in ticket prices have made me think - why don't I just get a 125 and drive in myself? I will save money and it will be quicker - and no doubt more reliable. Any tips or pointers much appreciated. I haven't bought a bike yet, looking to do that over the coming weeks. I've been looking at DT125s or maybe a WR125 supermoto, but the cheaper the better to start with I think, just in case I end up not liking it - who knows. I'm a big b…

Hi, I'm Toby from London, UK. Always dreamed of getting a bike and finally have now - I turn 30 this year so maybe it's a "cusp of 30" crisis! Really loving it so far and the YBR125 is great for what I need, getting around London and occasional escapes into the country. I cannot believe how economical it has been. Just as a quick guide useful to anyone looking to budget for one, here is everything I have spent... £1,200 - Silver YBR125 2007 in great condition with 5000 miles on the clock, bought off Piston Heads for £500 - Helmet, leathers, gloves, hi-vis jacket, all bought at Infinity Motorcycles in London £180 - RAC Insurance, TPFT (third party fire…

hi, i'm typing with one hand as my right is in a sling due to a shoulder op so thats why there are not many capitals. i live in burgess hill west sussex and have owned my r6 for 6 years, as i am now old and victor meldrew like and have worn out wrists,no not doing that, i tried higher bars but they looked crap, this is how it looks now, since i can't ride for a few months i am changing the front lights to a stacked pair, between the forks, pics will follow. this is still an R6 goes like a R6, handles like a R6, more manuvarable in traffic, and a lot more comfortable. have fun keep it upright, graham

Hi Everyone, I am from Sydney, Australia and recently bought a non-starter 1981 XT250 for $360 as my first bike. I have been inspired by the awesome cafe racers at Deus Ex Machina and decided to build my own. I have no experience in mechanics other than a love of lego and mechano from my childhood. Cheers, Rob

Hi guys I have just joined up. I saw NEO's post on 12volt conversion for DT175. I am currently doing that conversion. Come up to a problem with the headlight, more on that later. I will be using the bike mainly as a commuter, with some dirt roads, not much of road. I live outside Sydney. Have been riding for many years not much in the last 20 though and a mate offered me the bike, so I am getting back into it. Good Riding Brett

Gidday all! Just been doin a little net surfing and came accross this forum. Haven't spotted it before. The name is Ken and I live in the Hunter Valley of NSW, Aust. I have been riding on and off for some years and recently aquired a V-Star 650. I have no need for a bigger bike as most of my previous bikes were all around 250's and I don't get the opportunity to take long rides.

  16. Hi y'all, I am Andreas from berlin. I ride 2strokes. Started with a DS5E and followed some Suzuki (T500, T250, GT185, T350) of which I still have the Gt and the 350... So now I could not resist an offer and will fix a RS125 from 81. ...probably for my girlfriend.. And as this is the space to just say Hi I leave it as that and refer to the help section where I posted a request for help on data sheets for the RS.. Anybody else from Berlin here?? Greets!

Hi after (too) many years on 4 wheels, I finally got back on to 2. A few weeks ago I bought a Dragstar 125 and love it. (In Bermuda the max capacity for a bike is 150cc; mind you the official speed limit is 22mph/35kmh). So, greetings from the small island in the middle of the ocean.

Hey everyone, It's my first day here so I am hopping to the newbees section to say 'hi' and introduce myself. I live in London and recently bought FZX250 Zeal, after 10 years of non-riding. Prior to that I used to ride across the Czech land my 250Jawa from 1959! Gorgeous half dead bike that used to let me down in the middle of bumblefucks, and so pushing it around became a part of my life. Now I am back on wheels and my grin cannot be wider I am looking forward to chatting to you all. Twist the wrist!!!
