Hi all, i have just bought an XVS 1100 Dragstar custom, and i am not keen on the front fender, is it possible to fit a classic fender on my bike? i am aware of the different wheel size, regards Franklyn...

Hi, Ive been looking at numerous sites for foot boards to replace the foot pegs which are already on my bike. Also wanting toe/heel controls, but stumped as where to get some that arent incredibly pricey. ( for a dragstar 650 classic ) AND... am i right in thinking that a "V star 650 " is the same as the dragstar 650? i am a little confused as lots of sites use different names etc... yep im a bit thick lol.

Hello all, Im new to this forum....this is my first post! Ive had a 250 dragstar for a year. Its been a great bike never had a days trouble with it. The longest trip Ive took so far has been a 100 mile each way. Are there any other Dragstar 250 owners here?

Hi All, I'm a newbie here as well as a newbie owner... just brought a XVS Midnight Star 1300. I'm V pleased with the bike, but I would like to fit a new exhaust, not realy interested in more performace, just more noise! :-) I have seen the Corba range advertised and was wondering if anyone had any experience of them. From the adverts it seems I also need a Fi2000R to tune the injectors... Again would love some feedback Thanks in anticipation Stu

Hi peeps I have a Hypercharger and to make it fit my bike i need a fitting kit from Kuryakyn. Now i have been in touch with Kuryakyn direct and they said the part is readily available and they will ship it to me at a cost of $295!!!!! The part is only $69! I have tried contacting Kuryakyn dealers here inthe UK but they dont seem to be able (or want to ) help me. So after trying various dealers inthe US - again with no joy. I was wondering if someone in the USA who knows of a Kuryakyn dealer would mind ordering this part (i have the part number), and shippingit over for me and i will paypal over the money. a new forward control bar my gearchange ones is very loose(worn) don`t fancy replacin it all

First off thanks to goff and Yoda GFuys i tried both yoursuggestions ..even got new switch gear still appear to have a problem with the fuses though. have traced wiring etcas best as i can and all appears fine. I can switch bike on run through all lights including indicators, main beam horn etc and all works fine whilst she is idling. Give her the slightest bit of gas and she blows the park fuse. Any thoughts ?????????????????????? Any of you make it over to the North west this year ???? Hi, I want to remove the dragstar emblem from the side of my fuel tank and side covers. Has anyone got any tips on the best way to do it without marking the paint?

Hiya Folks New to this forum but like what Ive read and seen so far. heading off to North west 200 on weds and doing some final chewcks thsi morning find I have a problem with my indicators. When I swelect right hand ind they work but no left hand. Have checked and changed fuse and all bulbs, I aslo notice that I have no hazards eother. \any of yuo guys suffered similar or have any other ideas. Cheers Stevie G

Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and I ride a beautiful, noisy Dragstar 650 custom - my pride and joy! Anyway, me and some mates are off to ride through France on the bikes in a month or so and I'm getting her all ready for the big trip! Quite fancied getting a visor for the speedo (cos I might actually get to see some sun with any luck) but in the Highway Hawk catalogue it looks like the part is only available for the 1100. Has anyone tried this on the 650 and if so does it fit ok??? Any feedback would be most welcome!

I've got a Leo Vince Silvertail exhaust on my bike which sounds fabulous - BUT - i keep burning my leg on the bloody pipes! The system does not come with any heat shields and althought i have wrapped it in that heat wrap stuff - im on my 2nd pair of waterproof trouser due to the pipes melting them! I can find universal heat shields on the web but the problem is with the first pipe that goes in between the engine and panel - and its curved! (See pic - taken before they were wrapped) The ones on the net are all straight. Anyone got any ideas? or is anyone any good at making this sort of thing? I'll pay whatever it costs to save me keep having to replace my waterpr…

my 125 dragstar is a wee bit old now. for a while the heat shielding on the upper pipe between the silencer and engie has rattled. Today on the trip home it fell off! i irritatingly didn't notice until I got home. I'm going to be visiting my dealership tomoz to order new parts. But i'd like to know if anyone here knows how much it'll cost roughly.

Got a 2004 1100 dragstar custom, want to get away from spoked wheels, beleive 1 model(poss' Silverado) was done with cast wheels does anyone know if these will fit the custom & and has anyone got any- maybe even do a deal ie swap with cash either way.

been 2 m8s settin the carbs up, balance etc. we check the timing and took the cover of the motor to chek the gen, and oil came out. when u tip the bike on side it comes out of a hole at the bottom. may be silly Q but is this supposed to happen m8 rekons a seal is bust and need to strip the motor down

Im after a Hyper Charger for my XVS 650. If anyone has one gathering dust or can point me in the direction of one that wont cost me an arm and a leg then i shall be most grateful. Ive had a butchers around some of the shops ont he tinterweb and the prices are bloody ridiculous. Ive tried Evilbay, and they are relatively cheap in the US, but none of the sellers are willing to mark it as a gift so i'll get slapped with an import duty bill which kinda defeats the object. Any help/suggestions/a cuppa tea and a jaffa cake would be bloody marvellous.

Hi all out there in yamaha land. I have just purchased a mint 05' Dragstar 1100 custom and lookin' for advice on aftermarket pipes. Something with a richer more meaty sound. If anyone has had any experiences or any advice please let me know. Thanks Martin

Apart from the very obvious differences, Im looking to put footboards and toe-heel controls from a 1100 dragstar onto a xvs650 classic dragstar ( which only has pegs on at the moment ). Does anyone know if they are the same fixings or if they could be modified to fit? Thanks in advance

I recently bought a 1100 Dragstar (secondhand) and when I opened the air filter cover quite a bit of oil came out. I have not had any other issue ....spark plugs burning correctly... no other leaks found........no cracks etc in case. Somebody said this could be a head gasket problem but can anybody confirm/offer advice please?
