Thinking of getting some Cobra pipes with a FI2000 unit for my XVS 1300. Although I'm also weighing up the Vance and Hines pipes too, but like the sound of Cobra's. I can get hold of the Vance and Hines in UK. The US of A have all the good stuff. Can only find suppliers in the USA for Cobra, anyone know where i can get some in the UK ?? Its all about the ££'s right now..... What you guys think Cobra OR Vance and Hines for an XVS 1300?? MIG

Hmmm Helicopter Tape?... Yes - helicpter tape - I work in the Military Aerospace Industryy. In order to protect the leading edges of wings / propellor / impellor blades from stone ships, we use something like this: - http://www.lasaero.com/article/a-proptape Any1 use anything similar to this on bikes?... hmm £1 per foot ain't cheap, but its bloody good stuff!.. I think formula 1 cars use something similar (maybe of a commercial grade as opposed to aerospace grade).. I'll have to cut some extra piece next time.... I was thinking of around the fork area..

Ive just bought a 98 535 virago.I think its American spec,as there isnt a center stand fitted I bought a pattern one,but just realised there isnt much to get hold of within reach to help heave it up onto this stand.Does anyone know of a grab handle of sorts thats on the market somewhere that could be fitted to help in lifting it when putting it on the center stand??? Failing that I'll probably have to make up something to bolt somewhere near the seat there is a couple of strong points there.

I have an XVS 650 Dragstar (P reg'd) and am enquiring - does any1 know what the recommendation is in terms of how long you can leave the bike in one position (ie. on its side stand)? I work in the Aerospace industry and there are certain constraints with respect to aircraft tyres and how long you can leave the vehicle in one parked aspect before thre is a risk of developing "flat-spots" on the tyre. Bearing in mind - procedures / rules / regulations are more stringent on aircraft, I still couldn;t help but wonder if there is a recommendation for bikes parked on side stands....... regards, -Mits- PS my bikes been in my garage in the same position for 2 week…

Hi folks! I've just bought saddle bags for my Dragstar 650. I've seen on many used bikes that the bags remove the paint from the rear fender as it moves a bit all the time. Is there any way to protect the paint before I install the bags? Thank you

Free bike parking for motorcyclists could be scrapped nationally because information needed to oppose the move has been kept from riders, according to campaigners. Under law people have six months to object to new parking charges for motorcycles becoming permanent. But public notices telling riders vanished within days of the charges being introduced. A campaign group says motorcyclists across the country will lose long-standing free bike parking bays and urges riders to sign the group’s petition on Number 10’s website at Deadline to sign up by: 06 March 2009 http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/bikeparkingfees/

I have a front and rear cast aluminium wheels for sale on ebay for a Yamaha XVS Dragstar 1100 if anyone is interested. They are a straight swap for wire spoked wheels and alot easier to clean. (plus they look cooler IMO!) ) http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-XVS-1100-Drag...A1%7C240%3A1318 Thanks, Stu
