was out on my bike this morning when all of a suddern the chain snapped, one of the links are baddly dammaged, was wondering if i drop the back wheel forward and take the bad link out and link it back together would that work? thanks in advance

Hi, i am looking for a Yamaha Dt50r 2005 body plastic kit, i need a whole new set of plastics and for some reason i cant find it. can someone help me ? and dose the 2004 05 06 models have the same plastics ? will a 04 fit the 05 ? many thanks.

okay i picked up a xt 125 x supermoto a few days ago on an 05 plate and it was running fine yesterday i put it in the shed and next day it wouldnt idle with out the choke on or keeping the revs on 200rpm it idles at 100 rpm and cuts out straight away can i adjust the idle speed to fix this?? how do i get to the adjuster screw? if the jet was blocked would it still tick over with the revs a 2000? also when i turn bars fully left the neutral light goes out, why is this? anyone got a link for the manual for it? thanks for any replys

I seen a yellow dirt bike bye the road for sale,stopped to look at it,and on the plate it ses 12/77 as mfd.he wanted $400.00 and had the origanel title.well i had the title verafyied by the dmv, it was the first issue,the purches date was 4/20/79. on the title the year make and model, are as follows on title, vin# 1M2-111791 DT400E, year 79 but the plate on the bike ses 12/77, The plate and the case numbers match.so wouldnt that make it a 1978? OH bye the way i payed 150.00 for it!!!!! there was no gas in it not one drop.put in some 32.1 premix from my kx it back fired a few times, pulled the carb, the inside was like floor wax. cleaned it put it back on, it fired up …

Hi there I am new to the forum and new to riding a bike. I traded and old acura that didn't run for a CT 175 that does. I only have my learners license and need to take my road test on this bike. The Speedo however is in MPH and here in Canada we use KPH. Does any one know of a replacment speedo maybe from a different year that will be in KPH?

Is there anyway 2 alter the original tail tidy 2 make it more compact like the aftermarket ones if you know what i mean, im thinking of cuttin it down and drilling the plate mount holes in different positions

Hi there all - I'm new here and I had a question for you experts. There is a 1982 Yamaha DT100 Enduro for sale not far from me and I was wondering what you all thought about this model. I must admit I am a complete noob when it comes to these bikes, but I am looking for something that is cheap, dependable, easy to maintain, really fuel efficient, and can carry me and the wife around on the family farm. The info I got from the seller says: What do y'all think? Should I drive out and take a look at this thing or pass? What would be a reasonable offer for a bike like this?

I reccently bought a "89" DT125, so far no problems apart from a rattling noise that seems to be comeing from the exhaust it only happens at idle, when there is load on the engine it stops.

hey guys i have a 1988 yamaha DT50LC and i an getting a 70CC bigbore kit for it the bike has boyesen reeds in it but is otherwise bonestock it also has the stock carb and jetting on it when i get the bigbore installed where should my jetting be at, what number of main do you guys suggest ? thanks

Ok, i need a little help if poss. I am the proud owner of a yamaha xt250 the ownership documents are written as a 1995 model bike, it has the full set off clocks, speedo, revs but drum brakes rear and FRONT ive looked for some parts and on some sites it does'nt even list an xt250 manufactured that year whats going on ?! i should point out its a european bike as i live in greece. guys help if you can please, i also would love any tips for making it go faster for as little cash as possible ! Hello, I need some advice about how to check possible mechanical failures in a 2000 XT 600 E. I don't now anything about his owner, he lives far away from my home so I can't have a professional mechanic advice in the owners small town and see the bike. Here in Argentina the 2000 model in advance is rare to find, but I know that it's easy to ask for any kind of spare parts... takes at least five weeks to get them. I'm going to watch the 2010 Dakar edition at Copiapó, North of Chile. The round trip will be more than 4.000 miles. Thank you very much and kind regards from Southamerica.

Hey mateys, been offered a "DT125" - dunno anything about it, except that it's in pieces and its had the frame repainted as it was a field bike... it'll be a mid 80s bike i would think It's a mate's dad who's got it, this guy does do good work, it'll be as described.. I'm going to see it in a few days and i'll make an assesment on how far gone it is then, but i know nothing about 2 strokes, never worked on one.. in fact it'll be the first bike i've worked on other than servicing the honduh - done plenty on cars though. Just wanted to get the thoughts of yam experts.. are they difficult to work on, DT125s? anything i need to look out for? it'll be SUPER CHEAP like…

I have got a 2004 DT-Re 125 and the Y.P.V.S Cable snapped so I ordered one from Yamaha and when I got it back it was totaly different. Is there any chance some one could hav fitted a different Y.P.V.S to my bike as the dealer checked my frame number and was positive it was the right cable. I will post some pictures if I can.
