help!!!! ive just brought a 2006 dt125r and im sort of trying to make it my own bike,so the first thing ive done is buy some dtx125 supermoto style rims. as people may know the front discs are larger in everyway you can think of, does anyone know if theres some sort of caliper spacer i could get hold of and if so who from? cheers

hello there. im brand new to this forum and was just wondering what is the best engine oil and gearoil and also 2 stroke oil to use with my yz125 99 model just had full engine rebuild if that would make a difference??? and also what ratio do you guys mix your 2 stroke any help very much appreciated thanks, john

bought it for cheap and just rebuilt 4th gear. now it runs like a fine machine. the only thing is my unfamiliarity with the manual compression release and hot start. seems it's a fine line between pulling in the compression release lever too far and it not starting and letting it out too much and having too much compression to kick it over. anybody have any tips on how to best start this bike cold and also once you've been riding awhile? it's going to be a blast once i figure this out.

MK3 DT (tzr top end though!?) had it for years, most fun bike I have ever ridden but sadly its off the road. It wont start and its not mechanical because The engine was rebuilt about 500 miles before it came off the road. When it was running it would sometimes start to 8 stroke, so I guess this is related to my new problem. Most people tell me its the stater but the wiring loom is FUBAR so I cant really test this. Anyone kjnow a good wiring diagram or had any similar problems? Any help would be great.

Question: My throttle has started sticking when its cold. Often sticky in the morning when I leave for work but fine by the afternoon when its warmer and I ride home. The bike is brand new (XT250) Has this happened to anyone else? What causes this and how do I fix it? Any feedback will be appreciated

Hello Any one done any performance mods to a 2006 Yamaha xt250 I read an article somewhere where they removed the puny exhaust tip - but ours seems to be welded in - must be for compliance purposes. Anyway interested in seeing if these little bikes can be improved. M

hi again all..im on the lookout for some parts for my xtz ...back and front rims as mine are a little rough...does anyone know were i can get wavey disc from to fit the super ten ...would also be greatful if any one has any stainless front pipes......ppplease

Any one know if any other bikes share the XT350 motor or if anything else fits in as a swap?

I've got a TT600R with 17" talon hubbed wheels and a speedo drive. The speedo is not working and i suspect its because the cable is too tight and has failed. Anyone out there fitted 17" wheels and fitted a conventional spped cable to the stock speedometer? Any ideas about who could supply a lomng enugh cable with the correct fittings at each end?

When ive been riding my yzf426 for a bit and stop but just leave the engine running it starts leaking fluid out from the bottom.It isnt petrol i don't think its oil i think its water,is this because it gets hot and cos of expansion it spills some out.When i ride it tho and stop it stops doing this.does anyone know what this may be?

I have two questions re my Yamaha TTR50 1. When you reve the engine thier is a delay before the rpms come back down. What could be the cause? 2. Why does the choke always have to be on before this thing will start? Seems even if warmed up, it wont start without the choke on?? Any info would be helpfull

Hi, Ok, so I'm 40, and this is probably a mid life crisis, but I'm gonna do CBT next month and have my heart and mind set on a Yamaha DT125RE (Black). I was gonna go for a Honda XR125, but then I saw one on the road, and they are really short. I'm 6'2", and I think the 900mm seat height on the DT would suit me fine. Anyway, I'm getting mixed messages about the premix situation... after hearing its a pain in the arse etc, I then heard that certain bikes use a pump of some sort to do the premix thing for you. Anyone know the details? What models have the pump thing? Does it work? Your thoughts. Also, I'm gonna take this opportunity to get some basic mechanic …

Hi there, apologies for making my first post a somewhat trivial request......but I'm about to start repairs on my 1992 YZ250 and I seriously need some pointers....... I bought the bike last year and had problems from the start......the bike ran great but would die after an hour or so of use........spark plug was visably badly affected by cardon damage.......new spark plug and iit was flying again, before the same happened again after an hour or so......I think I was using the right fuel/oil mix, but it might have been wrong.
