hello my dt125r has very bad vibrations around the exhaust and engine area, name possible causes please

Just getting going with my new (to me) '74 DT175 project. Carb is cleaned and ready to reinstall. Battery is dead and won't take charge, will need a new one. Before that arrives, will this bike spark and run without the battery?

I have changed the oil 3 times in 1000 miles every time I check the trans fluid it is over full and blue any thoughts on how this is happening thanks

Morning all, I've been trying to remove the engine from my DT for about two weeks now. All that's holding the sucker together is the bolt that goes between the frame, engine and swing arm. I've literally smacked the shit out of with a 4lb lump hammer and it just aint moving. At all. Is it worth taking it to an engineers or a garage to get it out on a hydraulic press or similar?? Lewis

I need some help please. I replaced the loose bearings with the one below but when i try to refit the clocks they are not close enough for the top yokes and headlight frame to bolt back together. Hi, i am just wondering if anyone knows if YZ125 parts such as the forks will fit a 2007 dt125re? any info will be appreciated thanks Jake

i have a yamaha dt50mx 5 speed and when i'm comming to stop i'm going down the gears but ocasionally it will stick in neutral and i can't get down to first without going back up into second and knocking it down again. any ideas on the causes?

Does anyone know if a dep silencer fits into the big one(fresco) expansion chamber i have been told by a couple of mates it does but just want to be sure as i have the dep silencer and looking for a exhaust. and cant really afford the dep so going for the big one. thanks for any help

Just bought a 75 dt100 and the guy i bought it from lost the key. Can someone tell me how i can get it running with no key.

Hi all, long shot as i cant find anything. My key broke off in the fuel cap. was like turning butter and just broke off. Where can i get another one from?! i cant find one anywhere. xt125x 09 model. Kind Regards Sam

hi everyone just a quick one for those in the know,i am thinking of fitting hy tech reeds and was wondering if anyone has already fitted them and if they notced any significant difference,or will i just be wasting money,bike is a 54 plate 125re,fully derestricted,full dep system,inlet mod done,wire earthed,goes off the clock easily 80+ mph shown. cheers mark.

just a quick heads up in case this comes back on ebay,won a 2005 dtr125x sm on ebay,seller bennettsenior10,photos made it look really tidy,description a couple of minor faults,kick start conversion,rear indicators dont work,REALLITY,earlier kickstart motor fitted,wrong wiring loom and butchered,boost bottle missing,power valve not working,frame hand painted,panels scruffy,after market clocks fitted that dont switch off,fuse fitted in wiring,so you can knock power off,stopped looking after that,£50 in fuel,400 mile round trip,ten hours later,well p-ssed off,just AVOID like the plaque.

hey so i've just joined this site, and i've owned my yamaha dt125r for about a month now, the pistons have just been changed so i have been told to ride it smoohthly, which i have, and today my bike is all of a sudden just not kicking over, with the fuel off sometimes it kicked over, then i put the fuel back on and choke up and it runs for about 5 seconds, but still struggling as im pulling the throttle it seems like the throttle isnt working, but its not sticking or anything. so we tried to bump start it in 1st gear but still did the same thing and jumps while i get it going, then cuts out after a few seconds, we bump started it again i got it from 1st into 2nd, but stil…

Hi guys, u can see my introduction in the Noob section. I've got a problem I hope some of you can help me out with. I know I'm gonna have to take it apart to find out for sure but always helps to see if anyone else has had the same problem. Basically 1st gear doesn't work. When I shift into 1st it seems to catch abit and makes some click/clunk noises but doesn't move. It works great in all 5 top gears but no go in 1st. She's got lots of power to pull my 250 lb butt from a standing stop and up and down the road faster than I want to go Any ideas that don't involve splitting the cases. I'm hopeing maybe just a spring or the shift cam problem. Any help will be appreciated.…

Hi all, i am putting the carb back to gether after having it cleaned and cannot find the float level needle or now remember if i took one out. I have looked in the parts book and it does not apear to have one. is this correct? Dt175mx 1978. Hopefully the manual will arive today and give me some help.

Hi I have just acquired a Tdr 125 in need of some tlc I assume it's an import as it's on a k reg but first registered in 2002. Right here goes hope someone can help. Cos sourcing manuals is pretty impossible. I have power to coil instruments but bike won't start it is electric start only no kick. I think at some point someone has cut the indicators off as I have re wired them but they don't work my main aim is to source some parts and get her bk on the road if anyone can point me in the right direction it will be drinks all round.
