The carb is clean, It's getting fuel to the carb but won't start, If I put alittle gas on the cylinder if fires instintly, Any thoughts? Thank You for any help Bryan edit I was riding it and it acted as if it were running out of fuel, Yes it has gas lol!

Please Help Me ! I have just bought a dt125r 2001 13000 miles. The choke lever is allways on the up position. it wont start if i put it down and when the bikes running if i put the choke lever down it seems to put the choke on, revs higher and smokes alot, is this correct ?! it also seems to hold back at higher revs and just splutters and seems like it wants to go faster but cant. im not sure if the bike has been de-restricted or not or tampered with in anyway but doesnt seem right to me. i have changed the air filter and put in a new plug with no change to the running. i thought that usually choke on is up and off is down ??? is this why im having running difficult…

hi i have just bought a yamaha 125 dtr off road,(year 1996 ) and the power valve has been tied open with a lace, . what i want to know, will this cause any problems when riding it. ! also how much would it cost to have it re-connected to the throttle, again," been told today it will need the full throttle and cables purchasing for it, to work properly, has anybody got 1 cheep as well, any information would be very greatfull many thanx wayne

Hi all Its been a while. I have just 'completed' a ride from Ushuaia to Alaska on my 2009 Tenere. It died on me 25 miles from Hyder Alaska. A friend towed me in for the last stretch. It appears my battery is no longer being charged. The stator seems to be sending out voltage to the 3 pin plug so the problem lies between that plug and the battery. I found a small hole in the top of what i think is the voltage regulator. Maybe it got some water in it and shorted. The part number for that item is 5vk-81950-40.Does anyone know if this is likely to be the problem? I have checked all the fuses (unless there are some hidden ones somewhere) and looked over the wiring. I am now s…

I have looked at each one and they all look the same except for the cylinder head. What is the true difference? I would love to switch my 360 cylinder with the sc500s

hi there i know my bike is not a yamaha but i am askin everyone i was riding my bike (malaguti xtm) 50cc when it just stoped it didnt splutther the engin just cut out it now wont start it has spark fuel and compression can anyone help i love my bike and dont want to get rid of it

Just bought my son an old yz 125 . The clutch case has a hole in it from where the kick starter rubbed against it . I am wondering if someone can verify which engine has a vin that begins with 1W2 . Also while I'm at it , I was wondering on someone elses opinion on the problem that made me find this hole to begin with . The bike started great & ran well for a bit then calfed out on me . When I leaned it hard to the clutch side I noticed the oil leaking out . Could it be that the stator ran dry & the bike actually lost power due to the stator not charging due to lack of oil ? That is what I am tending to think & i'm looking for another opinion . Thanks in advan…

Hi, I recently bought a 'Big One' complete exhaust and fitted it to my 2003 DT 125 with no problem at all. The bike runs like a dream; in gears 1-5 the RPM freely runs up to 9-10k, with the powervalve kicking in at 8500 rpm. However! If I'm in fifth gear and kick up to sixth I lose RPM instantly and the bike bogs down to 55-60mph, with the RPM sitting at 7000. For example: Fifth gear = 70mph & 10,000 rpm no problem As soon as I kick up to sixth gear = RPM goes down to 7000 rpm and regardless of the amount of throttle, the bike reclines down to 55-60mph. If I put it into sixth at 45mph (before the exhaust swap it still had some acceleration at 40-45) …

well ive had alot of trouble with top speed with my dtr 125 2001. basicaly it seems to accelerate like a beast, yet once it hits about 60mph, it has nothing left, so i removed the 'reed switch' and it stays the same speed, but the revs keep climbing, surely this cant be right :S?(was thinkin maybe the speedo cable wasnt put back on right, but it went on the way it came off :S) ive got standard exahuast, but im pretty sure its not that restricting. any help please because i cant find anything anywhere haha. i just find the same old stuff, which doesnt ever help, and its got a recently rebuilt engine which was run in fine.

Alright guys, I'm looking for a new chain and sproket set for my dt125lc3, i have noticed this site that sells the sprockets and chain seperatly but it's for a DT125LC MK3 My question is if the LC3 and the LC MK3 are the same model and so would it fit on my bike. Also I'm not to sure if my bike has the original standard sprokets on it so do any of you know how many teeth they have. On my bike I counted 16 on the front and 49 on the rear. hi i have a 89' TDR 250, iv stripped an repaired her engine may times but i have one problem im confused about, after 3-4 mins ride i lose power then she runs on 1 cylinder, iv changed fluids, cleaned carbs and checked spark but its the same. iv got a small leak in gear oil seal but everything else is tip top. please help cos the missus is on my case for spending to much time with it. thanx

I went to remove the reed switch restriction on my dt125 2001 but it had alreday been removed and put in a bag ect... But my bike still strugles to get over 60mph and rev over 7000rpm in 3gear up. If anyone could help i would be greatful Thnks Connor
