Hello all iv just goit myself a dtr 125 to use off road some one has taken off the autolube so can you tell me the ratio of 2 stroke oil to a gallon of petrol that i would have to put in the fuel tank ....?.THANKS...

any one got a manual for dtr 125 i think round about a 94 or 95 cant get it to run since i replaced the conrod and piston had it reboard dont thing i put it back to gether right think i got the timing right piston at the top then flywheel on all lined up did start wen i put a cap full of petrol down the plug hole not sure weather or not i lined the shaft inside the crank for the fuel pls help aint been on the bike yet and want it running

Hi I need to replace the fork oil and seals on my XT250 (1980) Im not sure how much oil to add, as most of it has been lost past the weeping seals. Also what grade to use, mainly for road use. Many thanks Bob

Is there anybody with ideas i can do with my XT125? The piston bust on it, it has been replaced and rebuilt new rings and rebored. The timing is now back as it should be, but i cannot get it to start, there is no valve damage, and i know that fuel is getting into the carb??? so what now??? please shed a bit of light cos its doin my head in!!!

Hi was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction. I have just rebuilt the bottom end on my 1988 DT125LC after finding out the gearbox was filled with water! On dismantling it turned out some muppet had previously bolted the barrel on without a gasket,just using hylomar!! When i looked at the barrel,it was obvious to see the water jacket ran straight through it and out of the bottom,hence it filling the gearbox up through leaky seals etc. My question is,now that its all going back together,which barrel gasket will i need to go with the barrel that i have(it is the later one with Y2 stamped on it) Will it be a plain gasket which covers the water outlets o…

hello i bought a dtr 125 for 70 pound in really ruff condition but now that iv cleened it all up the frame looks the part with a bran new proffesional spray pain cos it had been painted with a paint brush and wall gloss so had to be done it didnt run neither until i got a new piston and gasgets and new fuel filter but now alli need for it is a back brake caliper and full set off plastics iv heard any year dtr plastics will fit on so im not fussed wat there off so could any 1 guide mein the write direction or has any one got any for sale thanxxx

Hello, Being a newbie to riding and the forum i just wanted to ask a few questions about this particular bike. Being a '96 TDR 125, Am I correct in saying that the engine is the same as the DT125R of the same year? Also i would like to get more UUMMPP out of the bike. i've read on other posts about various different derestriction elements, powervalve upgrade/amendments, washers tack welded in the front and rear pipes, a 'snorkel' on the air intake under the seat, changing the spark plug for a performance one and changing the rear sprocket for a DT one!!!! (No doubt i've missed things?) Will i need to do all of these things or is there a best combination…

I have a Yamaha DT50R 2007, I've removed most of the Restrictions but I'm still having trouble with the electronically restricted part, when I get up to 8000RPM the engine starts choking, a friend of mine has fixed his bike (he has the same model) so I know this is possible. (Someone did it for him so he cant tell me). I'm pretty sure the unit is called a CDI. Any ideas? Don't tell me to buy a larger bike, I'm only 15 so this is the best I can get, (Legally that is, or sort of ) I've changed the sprocket to get more speed out of it, but I'd still love to get rid of the electronic restriction. I bought a year 2000 TTR 600. The red one with Kickstart. I just so love that bike. Unfortunatly it was modified to SuperMotard and as attractive and good looking it might be, I want to revert it to the original wheels/rims. The seller doesn't have them. ( Probably sold'em to some1 else... ) What I need to know is... - How much would it cost ( just to have an idea ) to revert to original wheels ? - Would another bike wheels 18-21 serve my TTR ? If so, what other bikes ? - Do you know any online shops where I can find alternatives ? Thanks.

To power the electric roadbook, the IMO tripmeter and the GPS, plus to make sure traffic can still see me of the bike stalls at a traffic light, i have mounted a little battery behind the left sidepanel. I found this battery on http://www.kickstarter-classics.de, article MA-RP. It costed me EUR 28.00 including postage. I removed the tools in the toolbox, drilled a little hole for the wires, warmed the box under the tap to make it flexibel and squeezed the battery in place. Hi just wondering if anybody can help? My son was recently given a dt125r, i think its a mid 1990's model, to use as a field bike. When we got it the carb was missing and the wiring was a mess!!. I managed to rewire it and i and i bought a secondhand carb, which fitted fine, but when we try to kick start it, all it does is back fire?. The carb has been stripped and cleaned. It has a good spark, fresh petrol, new plug, its getting petrol to the carb and to the engine and it has good compression. Am i overlooking something simple?. As its a been 20 years since i last messed with a 2 stroke. Also its the model with electronic ignition. Why it wont start??

Hi, I don't know if anyone can help. I have an imported DT, which I need to register. I have very little paperwork, but this is a great 20 year old unused bike... I'd love to get it on the road but now realise that the whole thing is probably going to be very complicated! has anyone had to do something similar? Cheers!
