Ive Just fitted a ''power cone filter'' from wemoto ( for my specific bike ) as Ive herd it can increase acceleration and overall power ( albeit not much ). After fitting the filter i started the bike and a LOT of white smoke was being put out of the exhaust - presumably from the mixture having to much air in it ( correct me if im wrong there ) After riding around for a short time the smoke became less but was still putting out more than usual. Basically Im asking if anyone else has had this problem and what they did to fix it!! I dont have a very good manual for my bike so im hoping i can get some more in depth knowledge!! Thanks, <>Chris

hi everybody. i know this question has been asked sooo many times but im having trouble understanding things i have been told. anyway i have a 2003 dt125r and basically theres no powerband anywhere or engaging of ypvs and the bike goes no faster than 60mph at 7000rpm. I was wondering if anyone could run through a step by step guide on the methods to get the bloody thing a bit quicker lol. im sorry to those who are sick and tired of this question. many thanks

so i bought a dt175 in great shape but with the carb removed. now, since i dont have the old carb to compare, i am having alot of trouble finding a carb to fit. can anyone give me some info about where to start? im looking for any carb that fits, what do you think? ive only reason worked on trucks till now so dirts bikes are somewhat new to me. thanks for the help. ~rob

Hello there. I don't know what else to do so I'm posting here to get some help. I bought a Yamaha DT125R, 2001 version. Everything seems to be really okay, except it wont rev over 7000 rpm with third or more gear. First two gears go into red area of rev meter. It sometimes revs over 7000 rpm when standing still in neutral, but then falls back to exactly 7000 rpm. Some of my electrics did not work, like the horn and blinkers, so I removed the light to see what's going on. I think the previous owner made a mess there, but got them working again. I read something about a "reed switch" which restricts rpm-s to go over 7000 rpm (?). I opened the speedo and saw it had a …

hi does any one know how to deristrict my Yamaha dt 125 it is a 2000 model it seems to run out of revs at about 70mph also does any one know of a cheap dep race pipe for my bike as well am trying to find one but have had no luck finding one that is under 200 pounds

I bought a 2004 (54 plate) Yamaha Dt125X (the supermoto one) and I am wanting to fully derestrict it. I have had a full DEP exhaust fitted to it, which has made a difference. I have been looking on the net, especially www.dtr125.net and it says to cut the green and black wire that goes into the speedo. I when through the wires and found the 4 pin connecting block (the 1 with 4 wires going in and only 3 coming out) and cut and earthed the Green and brown wire to the frame, I did the green and brown wire as there was no green and black wire. Got a 1975 yamaha dt175B running rough, need some info on how to adjust the carburator' floats. need to know if bending into the bowl= rich or lean? the measurement would help (how do u measure?) thanx! I bought a 2001 TTR250 from my Boss, it's hardly been ridden and I know it's been well taken care of. One day I noticed a gas smell and then found a long crack along the right side of the tank. I had a plastic welder try to fix it but it hasn't worked. Anyone have any ideas? The plastic welder maintains that it's a low grade batch of plastic. Thanks Greg

hi im new to this website but i need some help with my yz 125 b 1975 its in rough shape but runs good i dont know if i should invest in a good resto or just let it be i do need a airbox and side panel. its a cool bike with straps holding the tank i love it also i would like to know what the stock front wheel size was it seems to be huge bigger than my mr 175 elsinore ?? any help would be appreciated basically what is she worth ??

Hi, earlier this year while enjoying the couple of days of summer we had i decided it was time to stop talking about it and finally go out and get my cbt done. So with that out the way i went straight out and got myself a '05 Yamaha Dt125R SM and have loved every minute of owning it. However with winter now coming up fast i'm not sure i want to just put it away and leave it sitting there for months, so instead have been playing with the idea of fitting some knobblies to her. Only thing i'm not sure about though is what i can fit. Will i be able to just go out and buy a secondhand set of DT125 RE wheels off e-bay and bolt them straight in or is there a difference in anythi…

Greetings people, got a bit of a problem, I can't recall how the chain tensioner goes together on my DT. Anybody do me a picture of one in situ so i can get mine on right. I know it doesent fit in an obvious way but when you have it right its a dodle but i just cant see it.

Hello everyone. I have a 2001 dtr 5000miles, i have brought a new exhust, taken out the reed switch and unpluged the PV and put it fully open. But it still wont go past about 65mph and there is no drive in th gear if anything it gets slower in 6th? Dose anyone know if there is a different restriction on it or any other way to improve the bike performance? Any Adive greatly appreceated

Hi all, been awhile since i have posted on here! I wonder if anyone can help! I have been commuting to work 30miles a day on my xt125 and after leaving it for a long weekend it would not start on monday morning. After about 15mins is started but the electric display was just showing some error. But i managed to drive to work. When i finished it was all working fine except for one thing. Once i get in to 4th i cannot go above 45mph infact it starts to slow down to eventually 38-39 mph. Now this is dangerous for me as i have to travel on a busy dual carrige way. Hi, My girlfriend owns a DT125 2004 model. She has had the bike for a couple of years now and just recently a LED above the 60mph mark on the speedo has light up. This has never happend before. hey all i am in a bit of a dilemma and would like some opinions off yourselves. i have a 08 aprilia rs 125 and think i want to swap for either a dt125 or dtx125 i just think i would have more fun on a dt as my friend has one and his lifts in 1st and 2nd gear has loads of power taking off and thats exactly what i want. are all dt's quick off the mark i dont want one if its too slow as mine now does 85/90mph still restricted but want more acceleration. definetely need some help deciding ??????
