Hi all, I've got a v late 2001 R6 & have noticed that it seems to really suffer from understeer at some bends. Bit strange because sometimes it feels spot on & then it just takes me completly by surprise and runs v wide....which isnt good because its not predictable! I havent had it long so could be just a case of getting used to it. But any input would be good. Cheers Vic

Hey folks, Got through my DAS and scratching about for a 'big' bike. Had been looking at a newish XJ6 Divi but have seen a couple of older bikes and thinking it might be a decent idea to bop about on something like those rather than a newer bike until I have more miles under me Two bikes that have caught my eye are a 98 XJ600N (10k miles) and a 2003 R6 also with 10k miles. Questions I have are: 1. I know the feel of the XJ6 (did part of my DAS on slightly newer version) but have never riden R6 ... is the R6 a bit ambitious as a first 'big' bike? I'm looking at getting the FZ6S untill i saw the R6. It looks nicer and seems 'sportier' but it's an extra $3500(Aus). I'm wondering whats the real difference between these two 600's? and if it's worth putting up the extra bit of cash for it? Thanks.

Hi, I'm looking to buy a new 04 R6. I have been riding a Honda CB500S since I past me test 5 years ago. What do you think ,I'm no mad head,too old for that. Is the smaller front tyre an issue? Anyones thoughts would be appreciated

Hi all, I don't suppose anyone has a map for the following setup I could use until I can get mine booked in for a custom one. I have a K&N air filter, headers of a 05 model (no cat) and Akra can. Hi all just picked up my second thou exup this morn its a bit ov a basket case seems to be mostly all there but it has no bodywork at all anyone know if there was ever race bodywork availlable for it ? its an 89 model like my other 1 If anyone has any idea's who or where i could source some from please let me know....cheers

Picked up my 86 radion a couple of days ago and love it. Its a proper old school bike and I can't belive how lite it is. Are there any other radian owners out there as mine is the only one I've seen And if there is what tweaks or mods have you done.

Big hi folks, I'm doing a usd fork and R6 swinger conversion on my RZ500 and was wondering if someone could tell me what the rake angle and trail measurements are on late model yamaha sports bikes (R1/R6)? Your owners manual should have this on the spec page. I'd like to get these measurements as close to current specs as possible as I'll be running wider wheels and handling will suck with stock rake and trail. Thanks in advance. Matty.

.....I was flipping through the newspaper today, & ran across one of these for sale...... I haven't seen one of these anywhere, for sale in over 10 years Back in the late 80's, I rode one just like this for over 40k miles.....regretted trading it in when I got my 3rd Seca 550......vowed if I ever found another, I'd be all over it like the perverbial raincoat :wink: This bike is a handler & gets Great fuel mileage with a 5gal. tank 8) It's already got a few mods done to it that I like....a V&H 2 into 1 pipe, SS brake lines & a small 1/4 fairing made by Rifle :tu So, fingers crossed that the financing I applied for, will come through…

I can't find a good picture on ine and haven't gotten a straight answer yet. What I want to know from those who have this color is if it has some kind of metallic purple or blue or reddish hues to it. It has been suggested to me that the color is more than just black and you have to get it in the sunlight to bring out the extra colors. Is This True??????? I am hopeing to buy a new FJR next year and would like to know just what the heck "Raven" is supposed to be, especially since the R6 came in a "Raven Edition". This question is keeping me up.
