Hi guys and girls I'm new to the forum currently got a CBF1000 but seriously thinking about a fazer thou '08 faired model, so come on persuade me to buy one!!!! I've already got brownie points off the boss she thinks the pillion seat looks v comfortable so thats a def plus. I'm a bit of a dwarf at 5'6" but the seat height looks low enough for me, getting a sit on one this saturday. It would have to have the hideous exhaust changed and a tail tidy fitted otherwise it looks the dogs bits to me, also got a test ride on the new CB1000R booked but seat height of 828 m/m may be too high for my little legs Which alarm do you people recommend got a Datatool 4 on my CBF and i…

First of all I would like to say hi to everyone as I'm new here and also new to biking! This Yamaha XT125X is my first bike. Firstly I would like to ask, what people think of this bike! Secondly, I am looking to take my DAS test later this year (before the new stuff happens in October) and was wondering what a great second bike would be to get after passing? Third...and I promise I'll shut up after this...the sound is ok out of the XT125X, but I would prefer a Gianelli Enduro 4T exhaust which sounds the dogs doo dahs...where do I get one (local to Yorkshire)? Hello all, I have just signed up to the Y.O.C. I am thinking of buying a Yamaha YZF-750R which is a 96N plate. Just taking my full bike licence after over 20yrs off a bike and coming back from the dark side of cars. Can anybody recommend a cheap method of checking up on a bikes history as I did an HPI check and it came back as a Yamaha Cherokee and not the YZF I was expecting. Thanks for listening, Si

bikes built up and could be running but as a result of this arctic weather my throttle has frozen solid and im not even going to attempt to refill my coolant + barrel as it'll just freeze within a hour so i think i will wait till i take it for a ride, on the upside it has a ton of compression and should be great just going to hate the wearing in period.

85 venture has no spark on front cylinders at idle. rev to 2000rpm and spark is good.also tach drops to 0 when it happens. new plugs, plug caps,wires. checked tci for moisture. bike has been sitting for three years.any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I've just brought a 1999 SR125 and I have no spark. I have fitted a new spark plug, coil and a new battery. It has power to the coil and it has good earth and what an I missing? Any help is appreciated James

Heya everyone, my first topic here on yamahaclub! Since a few months ago I've been the owner of a FZ 600 from -88, the UK model, which won't give any spark at all. Already tried changing the CDI-box (prev. owner thought it might've burnt), the turning relay (41r-71, both burnt and broken so badly you could see it with the naked eye), changed battery, checked the ignition coils and alot more, but still nothing good out of it I've been starting to think about the CDI-box, anyone knows if there should be any special resistance in it, and if that's the case, anyone has any idea / clue about how to measure it? Hello to all, I'm new to this site & wonder if there is any1 out there who can help with a 2000 r6. The bike was dropped when i bought it & i'm planning on converting it into a track bike. The top end has been rebuilt & i've cleaned & serviced the carbs. Put evething back on & tried to fire the engine up but no joy. The bike turns over no problems but no spark from the plugs. Checked all leads & fuses etc. Changed out the cdi for a spare one but still no spark from the plugs. Check to see the engine case was grounded ok with multi meter no problems there. Hello! Virago XV 125' 98 - engine extra work, but start and movement, regardless of which gear is heard noise from the transmission. Oil is changed. The same noise and it was when purchased. The question is this normal for pattern? Greetings! Sorry for writing, but I do not know the language.

i want to dump the exup. without the cables connected i dont get the 7000 tango but when i check the cables and see theyre free and re-attach then the tango returns. i have the high level titanium full race oval and would like to keep it. are there any companies that make replacement headers without the EXUP. Micron do two but i'm not sure if they'll marry up to my current pipework. anyone have any experience of this. Robin :wink:
