Everyone, I bought a CRG 3" Hindsight mirror and want to remove the stock mirrors from my 1988 FZ600. I have looked around but have been unable to find any mirror caps that will close up the holes after removing the stock mirrors. Are there such things as generic mirror caps? How are these installed? Do they fit in the holes perfectly to fill them up? Thanks for any help.

Hey gang! I need some opinions before I buy a FZ 600. It's a '88 with only 8,000 km on it. It was stored for since '91 and sold to the 2nd owner in '06 and is now selling it. I'm new to biking and this would be my first bike. The seller thinks it may need a steering bearings, the carbs were just rebuilt. Asthetically beutiful, and has minor scrpaes form the first owner dropping it. How is this on the highway? How's the reliability? Is this good for a 1st bike? Will I out grow it fast and should go newer, better? Any opinion would be great.

I recently purchased a 2001 yamaha V star 650, today coming back from the flea market, it started slipping some when you get on the gas. If you slowly go into it, no problems, when you get on it, it takes a second or two before it engages. Anyone know what may be up with this, driveshaft, or transmission. Looks like I posted this in the wrong forum, if a mod or admin would move it to the technical forum, I'd be gratefull.

Hi, Sometimes when I put the bike into first gear the neutral light stays on, slightly dimmer but still on. Then I noticed that everytime I changed gear while the clutch was pulled in the light came on, but as soon as the bike had warmed up this did not happen. Dry switch ?? where is this switch anyway ??

I think the blue is pretty standard and the black too but I have fallen in love with the 'racing red' colour scheme: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_Mvhjidbvdzc/SMaV...1600-h/r6+1.jpg anyone else agree and think it's amazing?

Just wanted to pop in and say hello to everyone. My name is Jeromy, I just purchased a new 2007 Yammy R6S. Been riding it for almost a week now, love it to death. My first bike and I think I made the perfect choice. The bike makes leaning comfortable, has awesome throttle response, and for short rides, you almost forget that your leaning forward. Anyways, this is just an intro, so...Hey everybody! Keep on ridin'!

Hi all, My YBR 125 gets delivered tomorrow and I'm keen to break the engine in so that it gives the best power and economy that it can. I know there are 2 different trains of thought on this: 1, The manual says that it should be ridden gently and full throttle/high revs avoided for the first 600 miles. 2, Lots of tuners and mechanics think that they should be warmed up correctly and then given a good caning for about 20 miles on full throttle to generate the maximum combustion pressure so that the piston rings create a proper seal against the cylinder bores. Then change the oil straight away to drop the swarf from the rings and bores and run as normal. http://w…

I think I made an impulse buy... Long story short, I wanted to get a bike to commute to work. The kid from across the street had a friend that was selling one and he brought it over for me to look at. I took it for a spin and liked it... It has some problems that I was unsure of, but bought it anyway... It's a 1976 650 Special 2. It has 17,000 miles on it. 1. Gas was leaking out of the petcock on the reserve side. I tightened up the bolt it was leaking out of, and it has seemed to stopped for now. I think that just needs a new seal. 2. The battery is not charging. He said he put a new one on it. So it could be generator, wire, etc. 3. The gas cap does not lock do…
